A/N Another sad Smitchie one-shot! IDK I just had this random urge to write this!

Description-Shane and Mitchie love each other. But will Mitchie's abusive ex-boyfriend get in the way?

Flashback

Shane let out a girlish scream as the bee chased him. "Mitchie! HELP!!!" Shane yelled at his laughing girlfriend.

Once she was done recording it for you tube, she picked up her Cosmo Girl and smacked the bee.

"There all better! I won't let anything hurt my baby!" Mitchie mocked. Shane grinned widely and gave her a bear hug.

"I love you." Shane whispered to her. "I love you too." Was her simple, yet meaningful reply.

End Flashback

Shane intertwined his fingers with Mitchie's. They had just left Blockbuster and were heading to her apartment to watch Little Miss Sunshine and Shutter. Both recommended by Mitchie. It was already 9:30, but they had a movie night every Friday. It was tradition to the couple, and you can't break tradition.

Suddenly, a tall figure approached them. Mitchie knew him anywhere. Eric. Her stupid, abusive ex boyfriend. He tried to kill Mitchie several times after she broke up with him. Police were searching for him, but somehow he never got caught.

"Eric." Mitchie whispered in pure terror. Now Shane knew too. He protectively moved her behind him.

"What the hell are you doin' with my girlfriend?" He slurred his words. Shit. Mitchie thought, He's even more violent while drunk. "She's my girlfriend. According to my sources she broke up with your abusive ass."

That got Eric mad. Shane and him were about two feet apart. Mitchie noticed Eric clutch a sharp knife behind his back.

"NO!" Mitchie shrieked and leapt in front of Shane, resulting in Eric stabbing her instead. Eric didn't know what he had done. So he just ran away.

"I won't let anything hurt you." Mitchie said quietly as she slipped away. Shane was sobbing as he called 911. An ambulance was on its way.

"Mitch, come back to me, please babe!" Shane kept repeating phrases like that to his lifeless, bloody girlfriend, best friend, and love of his life.

When the paramedics got there they went to Mitchie immediately. Some middle-aged woman walked over to Shane. "I'm sorry son. She didn't make it." The lady told him and walked away. Mitchie's gone.

This hurt him more than dying himself.
