AN: A piece of Kairi/Naminé fluff. They're not my characters.

I don't know why she wanted to draw me, of all people, but she asked me, in that shy, sweet way of hers, if I'd mind modelling for her. Usually, she just imagines things, and they turn out to be real when she puts them on paper. Anyway, I agreed.

And that's how we ended up here, on the beach at Destiny Island. It doesn't take her long to finish each picture, then we move to a different spot, or I change pose, or something. At one point, I ask if I can see the pictures, but she says no, not until she's finished. That, it turns out, isn't until sundown.

She hands her sketchpad to me, and I flick through the pages. It's me, yes, but I'm sure I don't really look like that. The girl she's drawn is far too pretty. When I point this out, she laughs softly, telling me that nobody ever sees themselves as other people see them. We all put ourselves down in some way, she said.

I know she's right, but… I still don't see myself in the girl she's drawn. Her fingers run through my hair, smoothing it down where the wind has ruffled it. It's relaxing, which is why she does it.

She whispers my name as her hands slide gently down my body, brushing all the right places. She knows instinctively what I like, and when I just want to cuddle instead. Tonight, though, I want her, and I need to feel her skin on mine. The dress slides easily down her shoulders as she unfastens my shirt. Our lips meet, and I taste the almost unbearable sweetness that is Naminé. She murmurs my name again, Kairi, as we lose ourselves in each other.

…………………

I wake to find myself on the same beach where Sora, Riku and I once built a raft so that we could escape from these very islands. Looking down at the girl in my arms, I know I'll never want to leave unless she's by my side.

We're two halves of one person, a soul shared between two bodies, and neither of us would ever be happy without the other. That's why we've promised to love each other forever, because it makes us both feel complete.
