He was Royston White. Son, villager.
He died so others could live.
Royston White. Son, villager, friend of Robin Hood.
He had done what he thought was right.
He had promised to "trade" Robin Hood's life for that of his mother.
He was a fool, a fool to betray Robin Hood, a better friend than he, or the whole of England for that matter, could ever have hoped for. And now, as he stood upon the castle's steps he finally saw it, he finally saw what he needed to do.
"Run Robin!" he yelled, "my name is Royston White, & I right for Robin Hood & King Richard!" he bellowed.
Run Robin, run and live to fight the Sherriff another day.
He was Royston White. Son, villager, outlaw.
He died so others could live.
Remember him…
