Maggie's POV

I was sat on Delos' bed looking around the room. I had finally got used to everything being 500 years old. I had been at Black Dawn for 6 months now and I'd been having the best time of my life. We visited my family every few weeks. Miles had decided to go home as soon as he found out there was no WiFi but came up to see us sometimes.

After we freed the slaves they were all released back into there old world, we sent about 50 of them home a month so it didn't attract much attention. Aradia used a spell to make them forget everything about the Night World.

My excuse to my parents was that Sylvia and I went to look for Miles in the mountains, when we found him Sylvia slipped and fell off of a rock and died. I stayed home for a few weeks and told my parents i had a scholarship at a college in Chicago. It took a while to convince them to let me go but when they did Delos contacted a friend of his who lectured there and he occasionally sent my parents emails about my grades.

"Hey beautiful." Delos came in and shot me one of his heart-stopping smiles.

"Hey. What's in your hand?" I noticed a piece of paper that I thought was a letter in his hand.

"I just received a letter off Thierry Descouedres, he's the Lord of the Night World. He wants to know if we'll come and stay with him at his Mansion where some other Daybreakers in similar situations to us live."

"Why does he want us to stay with him?" I wondered.

"I don't want you to get worried. There's a man called Ian who was some relation to my grandfather. He found out who's in Circle Daybreak and is angry that so many people have joined in the last couple of years, he blamed it on soulmates and plans on wiping out the human race."

I didn't know what to say.

"Do you think we should go?" he asked me.

"If it means saving the world then yes of corse." I told him.

"Ok, is it alright if we leave tomorrow? Thierry said that the quicker we got there the more easier it would be to save all of humanity." He said sarcastically.

"Yeah, that's fine."

"Sooo." Delos said.

"What?" I smiled at him.

"Nothing." he grinned.

He climbed on top of me and gently stroked my cheek with the back of his hand. He leaned forward and put his lips to my ear, "I love you."

I looked into his amber eyes, "I love you too."

Then he kissed me and just as everytime we kiss, I felt a shot of lightning go through my body.

I rested my head on his chest and fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up the next morning to find Delos packing.

"Morning." I yawned. "What time is it?"

"10" he came over and kissed my on the forehead. "You need to start packing if we're going to make it on time."

"Ok." I got up and grabbed my bag and began to pack my things up.

When we were all packed we went downstairs. Miles came to pick us up in his car. While Delos said goodbye to everyone I talked to Miles. "So you're sure you want to come with us?" I asked him.

"Yep, anything I can do to help." he told me.

"You guys ready to go?" Delos came over and asked.

"Yeah, lets go." I said.

We walked out to Miles' car. I looked at the stunning view of Black Dawn. I was going to miss it here, I looked at Delos and I could tell he was too.

Delos' POV

When we arrived at Thierry's mansion in Las Vegas Maggie and had fallen asleep on my shoulder and Miles was barely awake. I would have taken over from driving but I would have ended up crashing the car since I'd only found out what one was a few months ago.

"Maggie." I whispered. "Maggie, wake up."

Maggie opened her eyes slowly.

"We're here." I said.
