Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.

Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.

Tracing the raindrops on the window pane with his finger, he looked at the gray skies. It was raining heavily that afternoon, and he was stuck alone at home. The meeting of the Nordics had finished a few hours ago, and everyone had left. He was all alone, his own silence booming across the house. He sighed in boredom, stood up, and went to to get himself a glass of water.

Having quenched his thirst, he went back to the living room, sitting on the couch and went back to tracing the raindrops. He went on like this for a good five minutes until he got bored again. Slumping on the couch, he resorted to watching the television instead to alleviate his boredom. Flipping through the channels, he found himself uninterested with what the television had to offer him and turned the television off.

He instead went outside to the veranda, sitting on a nearby chair. Watching the raindrops fall to the ground, he pondered on what to do. Surely he'd get bored even before dinner came, so he wanted to do something. Going outside under the harsh rains would be a bad idea. He'd get sick. Calling the others is also a bad idea, since most of them would still be working. The thought of doing his paperwork didn't really slip his mind, but he didn't want to do it since he found it boring. The only thing that slipped his mind were two eyes peering through a small hole between two closed curtains.

Sighing once again, he just sat there, thinking of different ways to alleviate his boredom. He finally decided to give Germany and Prussia a visit. Getting his raincoat, boots, and an umbrella, he made his way to their shared border, still not noticing a pair of red eyes eyeing his retreating figure.

Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.

Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.

It was raining heavily that afternoon, and he just finished doing his own business. He then went to the living room to make a phone call, but his attention was diverted by something, or someone. He saw a figure tracing raindrops, and his interest was quite piqued. He just moved to the neighborhood recently and had made no moves to talk to his neighbors. He closed the curtains and peeked through a small hole he made.

He saw the man tracing raindrops, and in his observations, he saw that they had similar features, except the other was younger looking and had blue eyes instead of red. By that, his interest was entirely encapsulated of finding out who his neighbor was.

Seeing him go out of his house, he finally got more information regarding his neighbor. He saw that they were quite alike, in build and in height. Smirking, he continued on getting observations about his neighbor until he saw him go back in, only to go back out in a raincoat, wearing boots and opening an umbrella. Grunting silently, he just stared at the retreating figure under the rain.

With all that settled, he decided to give his neighbor a visit when he came back. Picking up the phone, he call his friend, with a smirk on his face.

"Cancel my plans for now. I've got my eyes on something else."
