A/N: Tori (Petrie's mom) and Pterano's mom (Agnes) is introduced in this story.
Topsy and his friends were enjoying a game of Toss the Seed. However, there was always one trouble maker. Pterano has decided to make things bad for Topsy.
"Come on, let me play," Pterano demanded.
The others agreed on the condition that Pterano plays fair. He agreed and shot Topsy a mischievous expression when no one else was looking. Soon enough, the game continued. Pterano managed to block the opposing team's goal. However, Topsy was on a winning streak; something that Pterano hated. He found a rock and threw it up in the air. His wing was hit with the rock and he yelled out in pain.
"How could you do this to me, Topsy? I thought we were friends," Pterano said.
Soon enough, Pterano's yelling prompted Topsy's mom to come see what the fuss was about. She rushed over to the young one's aid.
"Oh my! Who did this to you?" Theresa asked.
Pterano pointed towards Topsy. The threehorn looked at the flyer with a shocked expression on his face.
"I didn't do it; I don't have hands," Topsy protested.
"But, you have a tail! It could easily hit a rock and collide with my arm," Pterano retorted.
Theresa turned to Topsy.
"Did you hurt Pterano with that rock?" Theresa asked.
"No Mom; I would never do that to anybody, even him," Topsy protested.
"I was there when Pterano hurt himself so he could place the blame on Topsy," Tori said.
Theresa nodded and faced Pterano.
"All right mister; I'm telling your mother about this," Theresa scolded.
"Yes Mrs. Threehorn," Pterano said, glumly.
With that, Theresa took Pterano back to his mother. Tori flew over to Topsy.
"Thanks for sticking up for me," Topsy said.
Tori smiled.
"Best friends never turn their backs on each other," Tori said.
A while later, Tori and Pterano were at their nest. Their mother Agnes was giving them a lecture.
"Tori! That threehorn is a horrible influence; you are never to play with him again; he's the reason why Pterano is hurt," Agnes snarled.
"Mother, no! Pterano hurt himself and then blamed it on Topsy; he had nothing to do with it," Tori protested.
Agnes shook her head.
"He would never lie to me; if he said that threehorn hurt him; I believe him," Agnes retorted.
Pterano stuck his tongue out at Tori while their mother wasn't looking. Then, he embraced her again.
"Oh brother," Tori sneered.
"Yes, Tori?" Pterano asked.
"Shut up, smart mouth," Tori snarled.
"TORI! DON'T EVER TELL YOUR BROTHER TO SHUT UP AGAIN!" Agnes screamed.
The blue flyer cowered at her mother's loud voice.
Later that night, Tori went back to Topsy's nest with her mom and Pterano. The orange flyer rode on the older female's back.
"Tell that threehorn you can't be his friend anymore," Agnes demanded.
"No Mother! I will not!" Tori said, defiantly.
Agnes glared at her daughter.
"I WILL NOT STAND HERE AND LET YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY AND THEN WE ARE OUT HERE!" Agnes screamed.
Tori still wouldn't give in; Topsy was her best friend and he'll always be her best friend.
"Like I said before; no," Tori said.
Agnes turned to the threehorns.
"We're leaving now; you'll never see us again," Agnes said.
Topsy was especially upset and so was Tori. She protested the move; but, was unsuccessful. Her mother overpowered her. She had no choice but to move.
"Thanks a lot Pterano! You just made me lose the best friend I ever had!" Tori snarled.
"He's just a stupid ass threehorn; you can do better than that," Pterano retorted.
"You're the stupid ass; not him," Tori told Pterano.
After an awkward silence, Tori was forced away from the only home she ever knew. Topsy walked off in sadness since Tori and her family left the valley. However, he knew they'd meet again someday.
