Implant crisis
CHAPTER ONE:
Ambush
John-117, or Chief, stood, looking out the open hatch of the Pelican. He was on a stealth assassination mission assigned by Captain Thomas Laskey, the captain of the UNSC infinity. His orders were to eliminate Elite Commander Sog Si-Liegh, who is a stealth master and deadly assassin. He knew this would not be an easy mission.
Chief was equipped with a sniper rifle equipped with a silencer for assassinating guards and the enemy commander, and an SMG just in case.
"You scared?" The ODST pilot jokes.
"Just shut up and fly this thing" Chief responds with just a hint of sarcasm.
The grey night consumes the light brown dust swirling furiously under him. A rock jams an engine on the pelican and it starts violently shaking. The shaking triggers Chief's rifle and it fires once. The bullet finds its home in a mysterious figures head. An Elite falls to the ground. All of a sudden, thousands of Elites uncloak at once. Storm rifle shots fly everywhere "missile pods!" screams Chief. The co-pilot aims the experimental pelican missile turrets at the Elites and they start firing away. But they do little to help, only taking out dozens of the several thousand Elites that are at the ready.
"I knew we should have chosen bigger warheads instead of longer range!" the co-pilot says to the pilot. He is also an ODST.
Grenades are flying everywhere in this midst of bolts. One lands right next to Chief and he picks it up to throw it back, thanks to his training he knew that plasma grenades should be picked up lightly, because they stick to most things if enough pressure is applied.
But a bolt hits his hand, while it stings, he screams" That tickled!" as a means of keeping his tough reputation. The grenade sticks to the controls. He hears the pilot's screams and it explodes. The whole front of the pelican is gone. Chief jumps out of the plane and takes out his SMG. "Is that all you got?" he yells. The boom of the wrecked pelican shakes the ground. He hears several no's and he hears a thousand energy swords ignite. the hissing sound gives him the chills.
"Oh…this is gonna be fun" he says with a twisted smile.
