Tenten took one long look at herself in the mirror. She scanned herself and sighed. This was really what she was now, and no one could change it.

"Well, let's just hope this year goes good."

Neji reminded himself of what all went down 2 1/2 years ago, he thought that maybe things would change and be different for him.

"This year for sure, I'm gonna get it right!"

Ino hadn't really looked at herself in a long time, she wondered if what happened would change anything at all.

"I'm not gonna make the same mistake I did last time...not again!"

Hinata was not the vain type and so when she took a serious look at herself in the mirror for the first time she realized that she had potential; and she didn't want one guy's bad attitude to change that!

"I just wanna be friends and that's all...I hope it doesn't get all weird between us..."

Sasuke knew the worst was coming, he just hoped it wasn't coming too soon before he could fix mistakes. He knew deep in his heart that he had to make things right; after his revelation, he felt a weight on his shoulders be lifted.

"This is it. No mess ups, and you'll be just fine."

Sakura had long awaited this day; but, she was also really scared of what was to come. She wanted everything to be different and she knew they would be.

"Yeah, this year it's gonna be real different."

Sai hadn't really been the social type. In the few years that he lived in that place, he felt like he really belonged.

"I just hope somebody recognizes my true talents as an artist."

Temari felt she had to be perfect in every way. She had all the qualifications to be there and she was so proud of her that this was all falling into place the way she wanted.

"This year is gonna be off the hook!"

Shikamaru wasn't one to brag about all his things in life, somehow he felt that this year, he wasn't going to pass judgement on everything around him. He was going to take in all he saw and along the way, make some decisions.

"This just might actually be a cool year."

This was the moment of truth: Naruto was about to discover that he was truly meant to be in Konohoa. He had only dreamed of making it this far and now here was, and it actually happening.
