"Well have it your way then!" Scorpius shouted, slamming a door in the flat he shared with Rose.
They had an argument that got rather heated about why he was always out with Lily Luna, and Scorpius took it that she wanted him to leave for good. She thought that he was cheating on her. She stomped towards the front door, grabbing the handle to jerk it open, when he stopped her, turning him around quickly. They stared at each other angrily for a few moments, before she slapped him.
Scorpius grunted when Rose slapped him across the face, "Oi, that hurt Rose!" he shouted at her annoyed that she thought he was cheating.
"It was supposed to." She shouted back, trying to leave their flat.
"Rose," he said a bit softer pulling her back, "I'm not cheating on you. Please don't go."
"Then why are you always away with Lily?" She asked, tears streaking down her cheeks.
"We were um..." he said not wanting to tell her. He had wanted to wait until her birthday, but he guessed now would do. "...we were looking at engagement rings," he said gently watching her cry.
"W-what?" She asked surprised. She looked down, gripping her hands in a way that looked almost painful.
"I needed someone else's opinion...but I was waiting until your birthday," he said scratching the back of his neck looking away from her.
"Oh...I'm sorry." She looked at the door, "Now I've gone and ruined everything." He shook his head with a chuckle gently turning her face to look at him.
"No, you haven't, love. It just took us a while to find the perfect one," he said with a smile fumbling through his pockets to pull out the ring.
"Nonononononono, I don't want to see it! You had plans, just do that! I don't want to completely break every thing." She said quietly but quickly, throwing her hands over her eyes.
He laughed pulling the ring out anyway despite that her eyes were closed. "You know already now and this is going to be a moment we look back at and smile cheekily at," he said with a soft smile going down on one knee in front of her waiting for her to open her eyes.
"Cheekily huh?" She said giggling, peeking a bit. She snapped her eyes back shut. "Scorp, what are you doing?"
"I'm proposing to you, what does it look like?" He said with a chuckle looking up at her. "C'mon Rosie, I can't do this properly if your eyes are closed."
"Maybe you were trying your shoes." She groaned, but there was a smile. She opened her eyes slowly, making eye contact.
He returned her smile, which grow into a grin when she opened her eyes. He took a deep breath to collect himself and stared deep into her eyes.
"Rose Weasely, I love you with all my heart and will forever. I want to spend the rest of my life with you...will you marry me?"
Scorpius then pulled out the ring so she could see it and looked up at her with a hopeful expression.
Her eyes teared up, and she smiled, replying with a soft whisper "Yes."
"Brilliant," he said with a love struck grin, slipping the ring on her finger and standing up before leaning down to kiss her softly.
She kissed him back softly, smiling through the kiss.
He smiled as well, cupping her face gently and kissed her passionately.
