This was inspired by an argument my mates now know as heretic/hypocrite. It started as a debate with some bible club kids about the how teens are viewed in that Church and how it seems that we are either a heretic or a hypocrite.
Heretic
Diving into the unknown
Living for a love not shown
Human hands led to deceit
Leaving me behind to bleed
In the wake I turn to the night
Finding solace away from the light
Not judged by those I am around
Just a sweet melodic sound
And shown is what the day has missed
A pure unending kind of bliss
So if finding what I was looking for
Behind the closed unopened door
Makes me one of your so-called Liars
And my passion builds my funeral pyre
I will stand with the title branded
That you so graciously handed
I am not a hypocrite
"Well then… I guess you're a Heretic"
This is for the people who stood by me through the darkest places. Nick, Chelsea, Nhu, Charlotte, Jesse, and James. You taught me to be strong, and to withstand it all. I love all of you and I always will. I don't mean for this to be taken out of context this was simply a debate on teenagers in the Church and that's all it was meant to be.
