It's not the best... but I did this at random. It's just a little spat oneshot between Mion, Shion, and Keiichi. -

On any morning in Hinamizawa, you will hear those noisy cicadas buzzing around the trees. They don't just cry and buzz though, what they're really doing is telling stories. This is where my story begins.

My name is Keiichi Maebara, but you can just call me Keiichi. The story I'm going to tell you is about a day I had with the Sonozaki twins, Mion and Shion. Those two look exactly alike, but their attitudes are completely different. Mion is the noisy, selfish one, while Shion is the quiet, caring one. As you can see, they are the yin and yang of my life.

Between the two of them, though, I would choose Shion for myself. Hehe… but back to my story!
As I was saying, one day, I ran into both of the twins at the same time. They were dressed exactly the same as well.

"Hey Mion… Shion."

I didn't look at either one since I couldn't tell them apart. I think it was supposed to be some kind of sick joke, or something.

"Okay… so who's who?"

I asked. They just looked at each other and laughed.

"Silly Kei-chan. You should know -"

"-which is which. You're funny!"

I just sighed. I had plans to take Shion out to the movies, but that will be delayed now because of this dilemma.
I kept staring at the twins, confused, and scratched my head a couple times. Mion and Shion giggled and jumped up to my face.

"You know Kei-chan -"

"-you can ask us questions to -"

"-figure it out."

"Y-yeah… okay."

I thought for a minute or two on what question I should ask these two. Then it suddenly hit me. Mion goes to the same school I do. If I ask a question about school, I might get out of this!

"Okay. I have a question."

"Yes Kei-chan?"

They asked in unison. I gulped hard, hoping that my nervousness didn't show on my face.

"The other day, at school, I had to help Mion with schoolwork. What -"

"I know this!"

One twin raised her hand.

"The work was math."

Her smiled slowly turned around and became a frown when I finished my question.

"What was the teacher doing at the time?"

The two stood silent. The one who answered the earlier question shook her head. The one next to her just stared at the ground.

"I -"

I looked over at her.

"Yes?"

"I believe she was taking a bathroom break."

I smirked. I have found Mion.

"Haha! That's right! You know what that means? That means that the other is Shion!"

I laughed hysterically. I had won their little game and their plan backfired. Or so I thought…

"Oh! That's right. Now that that's over, I can…"

I reached into my pocket to get the movie tickets I had saved for myself and Shion. They weren't in my pockets. I frantically searched myself to find them until I heard laughing from behind me. Turning around, I found the twins laughing at me. In their hands were the two tickets.

"Ah! Mion! Shion! Give those back!"

"No way!"

"You have to figure us out again!"

"But in the meantime…"

Before I could say anything, the twins took off down the road, still laughing maniacally.

"Looks like we get to enjoy the movie this time!"

"That… that's not… fair."
