Gerry and Steve were talking about the lastest ashes test when I walk into the office.
"morning boys" I call out as I go into my office at the back. As I come out I look over to an empty desk, the desk belonged to Dan.
"has anyone seen Dan this morning? He's supposed to be in by now" I asked but I got blank expressions from Gerry and Steve.
"morning gov" dan says as he walks through the door.
"and where have you been you're late?!" I protested
"I had things to sort at home to do with my daughter" dan says sitting down at his desk.
" Fair enough" I roll my eyes at the other two when Strictland walks in.
"good morning, right we have a case to solve about a murder that happened 35 years ago" Robert says
I try not to gulp but it happens anyway, thankfully it was silent.
