Beckett was erasing the white board, taking down pictures after solving her latest case. She was lost in thought and didn't hear when Castle walked up from behind her. He gently wrapped his arms around her waist and brought his lips to her ear to whisper a sultry "Hi." Beckett closed her eyes as he lowered his mouth to kiss the side of her neck. She relaxed under his touch and slowly turned to her side so that her lips would meet his, her arms quickly finding their way up to rest around his shoulders. As Castle brought her closer, she deepened the kiss. She didn't care that they stood in the middle of the 12th precinct; the truth was, she needed this, needed him. His arms on her waist, her hands now in his hair, his cologne filling the air, his lips on hers, his tongue, his teeth, everything about this moment made her feel safe, relaxed...it made her happy.

It was then that someone cleared their throat, Beckett reluctantly let go of Castle and could already feel herself blushing when her eyes landed on Captain Montgomery, giving them a knowing look. Before she could say anything, he just let out a soft laugh, shook his head lightly and called out "Good night you two!" as he walked to the elevator.

When she finally turned her attention back to Castle, Beckett found him staring at her, that mischievous smile in his eyes.

"So is this how we say 'hi' now?" he asked, arching one eyebrow.

Beckett rolled her eyes at him and let out a quick "shut up" before she turned around smiling widely. Castle took this as his cue and went up to the white board to help her finish cleaning up.

After a few minutes, Beckett turned to him and said, "Thank you for your help on this one Castle, we couldn't have done it without you."

Castle placed the pile of pictures he was holding in the box on the desk and turned to face Beckett, grabbing both her hands in his. "Always" he said, looking in her eyes before leaning in for a kiss.

This time there would be no interruption.
