All that could be said for Deidara was this: he was bored. His eyes wandered over his humble flower shop, stopping briefly on the dying day lilies before resting on the door. Deidara begged for someone, anyone, to some in, and much to his surprise, someone did.

This peculiar someone appeared young, with red hair and brown eyes and Deidara wondered briefly if he was here for his girlfriend. The youngish man (boy? Deidara wondered) quietly mentioned what he was here for. All Deidara caught was "mother". And he was content with that.

As the stranger signed the receipt, Deidara caught a glimpse at his name. Sasori. Huh. Deidara shrugged, and thought nothing of it. He spent the rest of his costumerless day watching the lilies. After all, beauty is something that only lasts briefly.

The next day, Sasori visited Deidara again, once more requesting a bouquet for his mother. This trend continued, day after day, week after week. Deidara couldn't help but wonder if Sasori's mother was ill. After a few days, Deidara summed up his courage and asked the red head. Sasori's response was simple, "No." He offered no other information.

However, things suddenly changed. When Deidara saw Sasori coming through the glass door, his hands went straight for the baby's breath, but he was stopped with a silent command.

"No. I am here for a bouquet to give to the person I am fond of." Sasori's speech was stiff and formal. Deidara had never heard him speak so much, and was slightly shocked. Maybe Sasori was older then he appeared.

"Okay, un…" Deidara was slightly hurt; he had grown fond of Sasori despite only knowing his name. Quickly he arranged pink and white roses together, and hoped the girl would reject them.

Sasori cradled the flowers in his left arm and paid slightly, then, without warning, he presented them to Deidara. Deidara smiled.

Okay, I'm not too happy with this one, but it's for my Ita-kun! huggles I luff you! Anyway, for those who care, Saso's mom is dead, and he's laying flowers on her grave. I couldn't figure out how to incorperate that into the story. Give me ideas, and I'll edit it and give credit to you.
