Ed could tell that the Colonel was getting impatient. He continually checked his watch, glanced out the window, and blew his bangs away, all indicating that he was tired of listening to the boy ramble on. Ed paused in his sentence and, fed up with the lack of attention he was getting, snapped, "Am I that boring or do you have better things to do?"

Mustang looked at Ed in surprise. "I'm sorry, Fullmetal. I'm just expecting someone to arrive. My cousin's coming to visit."

"Cousin, huh?" said Ed thoughtfully. "I didn't know you had any family."

"She's the only family I have," Mustang said. "I haven't seen her in a while, so she thought we should spend a few days together in Central."

"Cool. What time is she getting here?"

"Soon. She's supposed to be here around one o'clock."

Ed checked his own watch. It was ten to one. I don't think I wanna meet any family of that bastard. She's probably a total bitch, he thought. "Hey Colonel, I'll fill you in later. Let me know when you're free again, OK?"

Mustang shrugged. "Alright. Sure."

At that moment, Hawkeye strode into Mustang's office and said, "Sir, your cousin's here, and she seems…well, pissed."

"I don't need an escort, thank you very much."

Ed's blood ran cold. No, he thought in a panic. That's impossible. It's not her. They aren't related. But then again, it made sense. They were both merciless beings, stubborn as a mule, and hated Ed.

Bursting through the door came the one and only Teacher, Izumi Curtis.
