If Life was Death, and Death Life Reaped
Hey everyone, Regaliansoldier98 here with another one-shot. Ever wonder about Henry's death scene in Henry's POV. Well, I have, but I'm not sure if it's another one of my strange, demented thoughts, or if everyone wonders about this. In any case, here it is. Hope you enjoy!
They glared at him."Henry had to," he said.
He walked up the stone steps, and drew his sword. Two gnawers charged as he approached the throne, but he slashed both down in turn, his blade a flash of metal. The rat on the throne stood and glared at him. "Who are you, human, to approach the throne of King Gorger? The royals of your pathetic city have fallen to me. Why do you believe that you may stand in battle to my fury?"
The young man grinned cockily. "I'm Henry, next in line to the throne, but I'm not here to fight. I propose an alliance. I deliver you the warrior, my cousin the young queen, and all in their party, and help you take Regalia. In exchange, a section of your conquered land belongs to me. Do we have a deal?" After a pause, the king replied, "It's a deal."
"Sorry, cousin," he said. "I had no choice. We were headed for disaster under Vikus. He would ally plus to the weakest, when our only real chance of survival is to ally ourselves with those who are most powerful. We will join forces with the rats and rule together, you and I." But he hardly heard he reply, as he stepped back, shocked by the hatred in her eyes. She would never trust him again. He began to feel some remorse, but he could not change what was done, as Gorger emerged at that moment.
He bowed to the rat king, worry evident in his eyes. He may have brought the king those that he promised, but he also brought the traitor, Ripred. Not that I should call others traitors, he thought grimly. He stood by the king, though.
Suddenly, he was thrown forward by the Gorger's weight. The foolish warrior jumped onto the king's back, and took off. Realization hit him like a bolt of lightning, and he took off after Gregor, hoping to regain favor in his new ally's eyes. He drew his sword and his feet hit the ground. The warrior leapt of the edge of the cliff, and Henry followed. He dove downwards, sword at the ready, when the warrior stopped falling. Underneath him was his own bond, Ares.
"Traitor!" That was his last word he would ever speak. As his body hit the ground, he died immediately, never realizing the irony.
Luxa's POV
A tear slipped down her cheek, as she sat in the dungeon, feeling horrible about what she had said. "He was as bad as Henry" No, he was trying to save her, and that's what she said to him. Henry was a traitor who deserved to die, and after what she said, so was she.
And cut! I thought it was pretty good, but I don't know about you. So, tell what you think. Review!
Fly you high!
