Prologue

Elizabeth slowly opened her blue eyes, before quickly shutting them. The morning sunlight was a little too bright for her liking today. She raised her hand to her head to try and relieve the pounding that was currently going on. Elizabeth decided to try the eye opening idea once more. The bright morning sun didn't seem to bother her as much this time. She slowly inched her way up, becoming more aware of her surroundings, such as the fact she was not alone in bed nor was she in her studio. Her back would be bothering her if she had slept on her lumpy red sofa. Elizabeth felt a sudden chill and glanced down. No wonder she felt chilled, she wasn't wearing an pajamas. It was odd though, considering she always wore pajamas, whether they be boxers and a tank top or an over sized tee shirt.

Elizabeth turned her head to the left, wincing at the movement, and saw a man laying next to her, his face buried in his pillow. He was laying on his stomach with his left hand under the pillow and his right arm thrown across her waist. The sheet had become tangled around his waist. His left leg, bent at the knee, stuck out from beneath the covers and his muscular back, with the eye catching tattoo on his left shoulder, exposed.

Elizabeth bolted up, clutching the sheet to cover her. She groaned at the pounding in her head which had intensified with the sudden movement. She needed some aspirin and she needed it now, Elizabeth thought. She pushed the thought aside as she took notice of the room she was in. A tornado looked like it had torn through. Pillows had been knocked off the couch in a frenzy. Their clothes were scattered, shoes by the door, jackets thrown across the table, her bra hanging off the lamp, Elizabeth noted with a smile. Apparently, they had been in quite a hurry last night, whoever her mystery man was.

Just then her mystery man, stirred, rolling over, opened his eyes. He let out a curse as his companion's face came into focus. Elizabeth was shocked to learn the identity of her mystery man. He looked at her, looked at himself, and discovered that they were both naked. He glanced around the room quickly, smiling as he took in the details. His boxer briefs were hanging off the painting that was next to the lamp with her bra.

"It seems that we were in a rush last night," he said, his voice husky.

"Just a bit," she agreed, smiling.

Just then, a cell phone rang and they both looked at it. He sighed, and reaching over her, answered it, "Corinthos."

A/N: There it is. My first General Hospital fic. I hope you liked it. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks to my brother for editing the piece for me and being my sounding board.
