Post-Brotherhood. Al's POV. I really wanted to write something more descriptive, and for some reason, I lost motivation to write Alternate Identity even though it's on practically the last chapter. Well, welcome to another FMA oneshot.

Stars.

I had always loved watching them, twinkling bright lights against the dark sky. They had always kept me company in the night, when everybody else was asleep. I couldn't sleep, so I went outside, watching the stars in lonely silence.

Yet now, now I had my body back. I hadn't shared company with the bright lights in the sky for so many days. And that was alright, because I could finally feel the human comforts of Brother's warm hand, smell the fresh breeze drifting through the night...

And best of all, I was sharing this with Brother. He was beside me now, lying in the grass. Feeling, just like me, the rough fibers pressing into our soft skin. The cool night air gently chilling any exposed bits. The feeling of being alive, finally, and being together, sharing it. It made all of our journeys, the hardships we had faces, worth it. We had saved the world, stopped Father, and yet, I found this to be our greatest reward. That we had finally regained what we had lost for our mistake so long ago.

My body was still weak and malnourished, but soon, I would build up my strength again. Ed was determinedly helping me, even demonstrating with his own gluttonous appetite. Winry was cooking as many apple pies as she could, trying to make up for all the years I couldn't taste them. I had been right to put it near the top of my list: the sweet golden juiciness complemented the crisp soft crust enveloping the whole pastry. It sent me into a state of awe with every bite. How could I have lived all those years without knowing this? And yet, there were still so many foods on my list I had to try.

And then there was May. The thought brought a blush to my cheeks. She had always been with me, supporting me every step of the way. Brother was always teasing me about it.

Life was good. And now, Brother and I were sitting beneath the stars, enjoying our well-earned rewards...

I breathed in the cold night air, and knew that we had finally found our home.
