What's up my peeps! I've been in a writers block lately, thought of some new ideas, and it inspired on some stories I've read in the past. It's Kataang (duh), and is about Aang and Katara reuniting after Aang's fight with Ozai leading up to the big kiss at Iroh's tea shop. I know that other creators have done this idea already, but I wanted to put my own spin on it, and imagine how I think it would play out. One think l like writing about in shows (like Avatar), is to fill in holes in the show that I feel could've been explored more. This is one of them. I mean seriously, did Aang or Katara discuss nothing on the topic, and just kissed on the balcony? Especially after what happened on Ember Island? No, there had to be more to it. A confession, if you will. Well my fellow shippers, sit down, relax, and I will tell you a story that I wish they dove into on the show. Also, thank you for the people who reviewed my last story, and it drove me to write more! I did notice some issues with the last one and hopefully I fixed it here. More reviews would be great as well! Any constructive criticism would help me a lot! Okay okay okay... I've been rambling too much. Enjoy!

*Me no own Avatar. Just story on internet (yes I messed up the grammar on purpose) all characters belong to Bryan and Mike, literal masterminds! I just make stupid stuff on the internet! Ps. Enjoy the fluff, I tried hard. :)

Aang looked down at the view from the airship. Miles and miles of burnt trees reflecting the horrors that the Fire Nation committed. His faint smile was now a frown, and turned to Toph, Sokka, and Suki. Toph was leaning against a wall bending a piece of metal rubble from one of the airships they destroyed. Sokka was resting his leg, and Suki was steering the airship. Toph noticed Aang's heartbeat was off the roof. She gave a confused look at him, making him notice her.

"Uh...Twinkletoes? Are you okay?"

"Hm? What do you mean, I'm fine."

"You're heartbeat is going crazy."

He sighed. "It's nothing. I'm just...worried about Katara and Zuko."

Sokka sat up. "Don't worry about it, Aang. Zuko and Katara can handle themselves."

"I know. But still... Azula's pretty powerful."

"Aang, Zuko is the prince of the Fire Nation, and Katara is a master waterbender. They'll be fine." Sokka gave him a stern look.

"Yeah, Aang. Just be happy you did your part to stop the Firelord," Toph said.

"You're right, you're right. They'll be okay, hopefully..." He returned to stare out at the view again. He was worried about Zuko, he was one of his best friends and hoped he was okay. But Katara was mostly on his mind. Their last conversation wasn't the prettiest, and he needed to speak to her again. Not just about what happened, but what they are. He needs to know what he meant to her. Whether it was romantic, or not. He sighed.

"You're thinking about her, aren't you?"

Aang turns to see Suki. She gave him a concerned look, and walked over to him. Sokka took over the ship, while Suki and Aang sat down on a ledge.

"What do you mean?"

"I can tell by how you feel. You're thinking about Katara. Am I right or wrong?"

Aang looked down at hands in his lap. "You're right. Is it that noticeable?"

Suki giggled. "Yeah, pretty much."

"I'm just worried. The last time we talked we had this big argument. And the time before that, I ruined all my chances to be with her. I... I need to tell her how I feel. The real way."

Suki sighed. "You really like her don't you?"

Aang looked up to her eyes. "I love her."

Suki smiled. "Well, I think she loves you too."

His eyes widened. "Y-you really think so?"

"Aang, have you seen the way she looks at you? Especially when you bend."

He blushed. "But do you really know?"

"I mean, she looks at you the same way I used to look at Sokka."

"I guess... But what do I say to her?"

"Just tell her how you feel. She'll be happy, I promise."

He sighed again. "Thanks Suki."

She smiled and walked over to Sokka. She pecked him on the cheek, and he grinned at her. Aang faintly smiled and walked back to the window.

Back in the Fire Nation, Zuko and Katara were leaning against one of the beams outside of the temple. Zuko looked over at Katara to see her hugging her knees to her chest.

Zuko shrugged it off thinking it was nothing. But then he looked over at Katara again and saw her...crying?

"Katara...what's wrong?" Zuko said concerned.

"I-it's just... I scared for Aang. The last time I spoke to him, I yelled at him, a-and what if he doesn't come back?" she sobbed.

She felt a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, Katara. Remember what you told me? Aang won't loose, he'll come back... he has to." Zuko smiled at her. Katara smiled faintly, but then frowned again. She wiped the tear from her eye.

"But there is one thing that I regret. It makes me so mad that I wish I could see him right now and tell him..."

Zuko raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Katara sighed. "Back on Ember Island, during the second intermission of the play... Aang and I were talking on the balcony."

Zuko felt pretty intrigued. "Yeah..."

"Well, Aang was really upset by the play, and it was understandable. The play was horrible, and he talked about how if he hadn't have blocked his chakra, he would be in the Avatar state right now."

Zuko turned towards her. "Yeah..."

"And then, he brought up the part when you and I," Katara gagged, "got together..."

Zuko chuckled. "That was um...yeah."

"He stated how I thought of him as a brother, and I didn't have feelings for him."

"Well that's the first question. Do you have feelings for him?"

Katara bit her lip. "I think so... I mean... argh! I don't know! I don't want our friendship to be ruined. What if he doesn't like me back?"

Zuko flat-out laughed.

Katara raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"

Zuko wiped a tear from his laughter. "Katara... I'm pretty sure he likes you," he chuckled again.

"Well yeah... but, I don't think he does anymore. And now that I've realized my feelings... I don't know where to go with our relationship."

"That goes back to the original question... do you like him?"

Katara sat there in silence, thinking about what he asked her. Finally, she knew her answer, and smiled.

"I think... I think I love him," Katara blushed.

"Look, I feel the same way when it comes to Mai. I love her, but things kept going on.. and I kept turning her away. What I think you should do... is find the right time, and just confess. I think you'll get a good answer."

"You really think so?"

"Oh for the love of god, Katara! Do you see the way he looks at you?!"

Katara giggled. "I know, I know, I was just teasing you. You're right. Thanks Zuko."

Zuko smiled back, and turned to look at the singed palace.

It had been nearly two hours since Zuko and Katara had that talk. Zuko fell asleep, and Katara had lost all hope, thinking they wouldn't come back. She sighed and started to pack up everything on Appa, planning to go back to the Earth Kingdom to try at least to look for them. She picked up the last bag, and suddenly heard Appa roar.

She stroked the fur on his head. "What is it, Appa?"

He groaned again, and looked up to the sky. Katara looked up too, and she grinned with joy to see an airship slowing heading towards the palace. She ran to Zuko.

"Zuko, wake up," she shook his shoulder slightly. Just enough for him to wake up, but not cause him pain. He opened his eyes barely, enough to see Katara looking up at the sky.

"Katara...? What is it?"

"I think it's them!"

Zuko squinted his eyes to see the giant airship flying towards them.

A small tear escaped Katara's eye as she ran closer to the airship, but not too close for her to be injured by the landing.

Zuko grunted as he picked himself up. "Thanks so much Katara for helping me! The injured person stuck by lightning who can barely stand up by themselves...I clearly am capable of doing things on my own!" Zuko yelled in a sarcastic manner.

Katara gasped and ran back to Zuko to help him get up. "Sorry, sorry sorry!" Zuko grunted again, "it's fine. I was just messing with you," he smiled. Katara smiled back, and she helped him up anyway. When he was on his feet, he looked up at her. "Go to him, I'll catch up with you."

"Thanks," she replied. She started running back to the airship that just landed, and smiled with anticipation as she waited for her friends to come out. The door opened, and a ramp unraveled. Sokka and Suki come out with Sokka leaning on Suki as he hopped down the ramp.

"Sokka!" Katara ran up to hug him. She pulled away and looked at his leg. "Sokka, you're leg! Are you okay?"

"Eh, I'll be fine," Sokka smiled, "I'm glad it's just my leg."

Katara giggled. "Me too."

Next to come out was Toph.

Katara ran up to hug her too. "Toph, it's good to see you!" Katara exclaimed.

"It's good to see you too, Sugar Queen!"

She relaxed to see that her friends were okay. But she noticed one person was not off the airship.

"Sokka, Suki, Toph... where's Aang?"

"I'm here."

Katara turned to see the avatar standing in front of her. Tears swelled up in her eyes as the ran to him. She tackled Aang in a hug and he pulled her close to him.

"I missed you so much, Aang," she said as she rested her chin on his shoulder.

"I missed you too..." he replied.

They disbanded the hug with their faces inches apart, they both blushed, and back away from each other. Aang and the others went to greet Zuko, while Katara walked a little behind.

When are you gonna tell him?

Tell him what?

That you love him...

I don't know. I have to find the right moment.

Well find it fast, you can't wait forever.

What do you mean?

He's the Avatar! There are millions of girls that are swooning over him. Tell him as soon as you can.

Alright, alright I'll figure it out.

After mentally having a battle in her head, Katara caught up with the rest of the group. She tapped on Aang's shoulder.

"Hey, Aang?"

He turned towards her. "Yeah, Katara?"

"I have to tell you something..."

He had a concerned look on his face. "Did something bad happen during your fight with Azula?"

"What? Oh no, nothing like that. Just something I've wanted to say to you..."

He hoped she is saying what he think she will say. "Yeah..."

Not the right time, Katara.

"Actually... never mind. I'll tell you later."

"Oh, ok. I'm always here if you want to talk," he replied disappointed.

She saw he was upset. What did he think I was going to say?

She shrugged it off, and they all talked to each other about their battles.

Zuko realized something that made him gasp. Everyone looked at him, with a confused look.

He looked at Aang. "Aang... what happened between you and my father?"

"Zuko, you won't believe what happened! He did this big light thing and everything went blue! Then Ozai couldn't bend anymore!" Sokka exclaimed.

Everyone gave him a glare as he realized what he did.

"Oh... sorry, did I ruin the moment?" He asked quietly.

Katara rolled her eyes and looked at Aang again.

"Yeah, Sokka beat me to it," Aang replied.

"You took his bending away? But how?" Zuko asked.

"It's kinda hard to explain. To put it the easiest way possible, I woke up on a strange island in the middle of the ocean. I spoke with some of my past lives, because I was still thinking about whether I should kill the Firelord. After that, I noticed the island was moving, and next thing I know, I'm standing on the hand of a giant lion-turtle!"

"A giant lion-turtle? Aren't those extinct?" Katara asked raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know. Maybe it was the last one in the world. Anyway, I told him about my problem, he told a bunch of spiritual advice, and then put two fingers on my chest and forehead, creating a huge glow of green light. Then, at the end of my battle with Ozai, I pinned him down, and put a thumb on his chest and forehead, like the lion-turtle did. I don't what I did exactly, but I took at of my energy, and after that, his bending was taken away."

"That's amazing, Aang!" Katara exclaimed.

"Thanks, but I don't even know what I did. I was...kinda of instinct."

"See, Katara! Instinct can rule out!" Sokka corrected.

"I'm sorry for doubting you, Sokka." Katara rolled her eyes.

"Okay, it's been a long day, we should all get some rest," Aang declared. Everyone nodded, and went around the palace to find a room for themselves.

Katara started walking to find another room to sleep.

"Katara wait."

Katara turned around. "Yeah, Aang?"

"You didn't say goodnight," he complained with his puppy eyes.

She giggled. And gave him a hug.

"Goodnight, Aang," she whispered.

"Goodnight, Katara," he replied.

She waved to him, and walked to one of the rooms.

He sighed, and made his way to another room. His feelings still tangled like knots.

Welp, that's the end of this chapter! Expect more on the way, I think I want this to be a three-parter or two-parter, I'm still thinking. Anyway, please R&R! I'll see you later, my peeps!
