The Differences of Knowing

There were never many choices for their relationship.

This, he had always known, and yet never took the time to debate upon.

Not until today.

Not until Alice's vision.

Beautiful Bella, ice cold and snow white, sparkling in the midday sun with caramel, instead of chocolate, colored eyes.

He had never been more afraid of anything, or anyone for that matter, in his entire life.

A human no less, shorter than average with no obvious threat physically, and yet with the most superb advantage. He knew with everything inside of his soulless body that he had to keep a distance from this infatuated girl. But things are never so simple.

Sitting next to her in Biology only made the situation worse. Not only could he smell the blood that pumped so viciously through her veins, but he could smell her arousal every time he spoke, every glance she swept his way.

It was infuriating, and delicious.

And it drove him absolutely crazy.

Never in his hundred years had he been so tempted to take someone, never had he wanted to bury his lips against skin, hands in hair, hips in hips. It was too much for a virginal vampire to take, and for this reason he knew, he had to stop their communication, their friendship, whatever it was they were had to end.

"Edward."

But God, his name never sounded so sweet.

He finally realized the beauty of words when they came from her lips, and his name had never sounded so beautiful.

And then, he knew as he knew before, he should push her away.

He should end it all.

Every glance.

Every moment.

Every word.

The only difference now, was that he didn't want to.

Author's Note: Ugh...the underline is making me angry. Anyways. Another for Mission: Insane at LJ. With the prompt being a song, once again. Which is located above. Reviews are love. -Delta
