She was so broken.
It was surprising that she hadn't broken completely yet.
She had offered him her heart.
He still carried the pieces with him. To the ends of the earth and back.
She was soulless, heartless. Without a purpose.
He might never return.
She had known it from the beginning, but that hadn't stopped her.
Even if fate could save them, they were doomed.
Doomed.
Doomed.
Doomed...
Doome...
Doom...
Do...

She was going crazy. No other way to describe it.
Her work was ordinary.
Her friends stayed the same.
Train.
Fight.
Train.
Kill.
Eat. Train. Work. Train. Eat. Kill. Eat. In endless repetition.
Around and around, and nothing fell down.
Nothing went up. Nothing came down.
Monotonous.
Tiring.
Purpose? No purpose.
Machines was what they were. Machines told to kill, to maim. No thought, no individuality.
Ignorance is bliss.
She never thought that it would end like this.
Fate, the Hyuuga would say.
Ironic, that she trusted fate.
Fate was cruel. And she had learned that the hard way.

When Konoha looked back, they said that she snapped. It wasn't sudden; it was a spidery crack in her protective wall that grew and splintered with each breath.
No way to mend it.
Dozens had attempted.
Only her friends had been able to temporarily mend the fissures and cracks.
Temporary.
Now she was gone.
Not dead, oh no. Fate wasn't kind enough. She was only unconscious to the world around her. Coma, it was announced.
So she had taken matters into her own hands.
A forbidden genjutsu. Forbidden for a reason.
She created for herself a world with him.
She didn't care that it was fake to the rest of the world.
To her, it was real.
And that was all that mattered.
The
End.
This was a different writing style for me. We've been talking about stream-of-consciousness in my Literature class, and being the silly little schoolgirl I am, I decided to give it a go. Review please! Tell me how you liked/didn't like it.
And don't worry! The Sakura and Sasuke series is still happening! Be on the look out for the new addition, "Misunderstanding"!
