"Aerith can be cruel when she wants to be..."
When Cid first told him this, Sora paid nothing of it. Seriously, though...how could someone as sweet, kind and generous as Aerith be cruel? 'That old guy doesn't know what he's talking about...' Sora thought with a chuckle as he headed to Aerith's place (in Radiant Garden) with a bouquet of roses in hand.
Sora was about to knock on the door when he suddenly heard something crash inside. Banging on the door again, Sora exclaimed, "Aerith...Aerith! Is everything okay in there?" After a few minutes, instead of Aerith, Tifa opened the door. She looked out of breath and quite flustered for some reason.
"Huh...? Oh...h-hey, Sora..." Tifa seemed to have trouble keeping herself steady as she let Sora inside. Taking a seat on the raggedy old couch nearby, Tifa took a swig of a beer bottle lying on the floor and said, "So...uh...how ya doin'?"
Sora hadn't known Tifa for very long, but he was comfortable enough to talk to her easily. "I'm good...I just came over to see if Aerith wanted to go on a...a date...or something..." Suddenly, Tifa burst out laughing. Sora stared in confusion as Tifa fell onto the floor and curled up into a ball, still laughing her head off.
When she was finally done, Tifa wiped a tear from her eye and said, "Oh, god...you gotta be kiddin' me...you...you don't know, do you? About Aerith...she's-" Before Tifa could finish speaking, who could have shown up walking out of another room than Aerith herself, as cheerful and delicate-looking as ever.
Sora found himself blushing as he nervousl exclaimed, "Ah! H-Hello...Aerith. You look...uh, beautiful tonight..." Tifa seemed to be having trouble keeping herself from laughing as Aerith sat down next to her. Aerith smiled happily (Sora felt shivers crawl up his spine) and say, "Sora...I see you've found that me and Tifa are living together..."
"Yeah...but as friends, right? Since Tifa has nowhere else to go...right?" Sora asked hopefully. Aerith nodded in response, but Tifa had to excuse herself for reasons that probably had to do with her inability to keep from laughing. 'I hope...that Tifa's weird laughter at my comments doesn't mean anything...' Sora thought.
"So...are you ready to go?"
"Yup! Let's go and have some fun, Sora!"
Standing up from the couch, Aerith took Sora's hand and the couple headed out the door for a night on the town. Tifa, however, was chuckling to herself about how completely oblivious poor Sora is.
'He's a sweet kid...but he needs to know what two grown women living together in a small building can imply...especially since it's the truth...' Sighing, Tifa pulled out another beer from the fridge to keep herself busy until her lovely little Aerith came back...
'It's unfortunate how he doesn't know she's just using him...my dear little Aerith-chan can be so cruel...'
