The first thing that Max was aware of was that his bed was lot warmer than usual. The second thing he was aware of was that his bed was a lot more cramped than usual.

It was about then when he realized that both of those things were because he was currently sharing his bed with one Danny Delgado.

Max shifted, too sleepy to really wonder why Danny was there in the first place... but then it came back to him. Suddenly very awake, he tried to remove himself from Danny's arms, but even if he could break his friend's (lover's?) grip, he was just going to crash to the floor.

... It wasn't too bad, though, Max supposed as he resigned himself to his fate (or at least his fate until Danny woke up and told that he did like him, but he loved Kendall and he didn't want to risk that just for him...). The stars were bright but not painfully so, and the gentle breeze that seemed to always be floating around the Animarium was keeping the quarters he shared with Danny from getting too hot.

It's not just 'too bad'. It's wonderful. It's like we have our own world-- one that has everything I could ask for.

He snuck a glance as Danny. Too bad it's one night only.

And then he felt a sleepy kiss against his forehead. "G'nite, Max. Love you."

Max didn't breathe for several seconds... and then he leaned back into Danny. Apparently, Danny had decided that this was going to last-- and that was more than okay with him.

But next time, they were going to push the beds together so they'd have more room.
