Stood upon the rooftop, you gazed over the city's pristine beach and the rolling waves foiling themselves upon the sandy expanse. A sigh rips through the silence as your aging hand moves to your wrist, fingering the Mega-stone your oldest ally activated so many times throughout your life. "Emily..." you whisper to yourself as you turn away from the beach and began your slow descent down the building. You closed your eyes in reverie as you walked, your elderly feet used to treading this path so often.
You exited the building to see a group of humans now on the beach, recognizing the eldest as the daughter of your trainer and smiling as you see the Gallade stood next to her waving. Reaching out with your mind you touched on theirs and told them you were heading to the graveyard. They seemed not to react but you knew better, Mirallias always knew when to speak and when to accept things. Passing humans and pokemon alike you both envy and pity the partnerships you end up surrounded by, and once again your hand moves to the Gardevoirite embedded in the bracelet.
Your first vision in life upon hatching was a human baby, Emily Mirallia, birthed while you broke out of your protective egg. So many battles you fought alongside her as she grew, from mewling child to beloved grandmother. You pull yourself from your reverie when your feet finally stop you before the grave you helped dig, kneeling before the cold stone and placing a hand upon the earth before you, "Thank you, Emily…" You whisper before your body collapses and consciousness fades…
White all around you… A pokemon center, you dare not attempt to life yourself but voices filter in your ailing ears, "We think Emily's death has finally gotten to her." You hear, "She's one of the strongest willed Gardevoirs I've examined."
"Even if she can't speak to us… I still want to speak to her. She is the last living vestige of mother's memory." Another voice and your own creaks out, "Shi'chiann..." You know full well that the humans couldn't understand you, but in your ailing state you didn't care. Touching on the girl's mind you speak once more, "You've got Emily's Keystone… but no bracelet for my little Zaeis. Have him wear mine now, just… Keep the Mega-stone safe. A Memento of the bond me and your mother shared. One that you and Zaeis share too."
Panic sounds in the first voice, "We're losing her!" yet no more words are heard save for Shi'chiann's own, "I know. It's her time, best to let her join my mother." You felt the bracelet pulled from your wrist, only to be replaced by the grip of your son's hand. "Stay strong and make us proud, children." Your final words as consciousness fades once more, your vision lost to darkness forever more. One legacy over, while many more will follow each different from the rest. The Mega Bracelet pair employed by you and Emily eventually becoming a legendary heirloom. A memento of the bond of the birth-bound Trainer and Gardevoir.
