People always say that time heals all wounds. Well, no amount of time will ever heal the immense pain that I am feeling. I sit on the couch, a gun clutched in my shaking hands. I look at our family portrait on the wall. I have my arms wrapped around you, while you are cuddling out baby boy, Tyler.
Tears fall down my pale cheeks as I replay that horrific day in my head...the day you and Tyler left me alone in this cruel, ruthless world.
We are both asleep in bed when we hear glass shattering. We jolt awake and quickly sit up. I call 9-1-1 as you rush to the nursery to check on Tyler. I assume you got to him.
I finish the 9-1-1 call and grab my gun. I hear a shot and your sorrowful cries and screams. I run out and see a man with a gun. I shoot, but it's a moment too late. You're dead body drops to the ground. I see Tyler's equally lifeless body clutched in your arms. I cry out your name and run up to you. You are bleeding from a bullet hole in your head. Tears are wet on your cheeks from grieving the death of Tyler. The police arrive a few minutes later and call the CSI team. I answer their questions and then go to a nearby hotel.
I stay there for a few days. When the investigation is finished and I go home. I walk through the doors, and expect to see you waiting for my in the kitchen, feeding Tyler. Reality catches up to me, and tears well up in my dull blue eyes. I try to sleep, but my dreams are plagued with your lifeless eyes staring at me. I wake up and decide what I must do.
So, here I am, holding the pistol. I close my eyes for a second and see you holding Tyler. You beckon me and say, "We're waiting for you, Gil."
I smile and place the barrel of the gun against my temple.
"I'm coming, Sara," I whisper before pulling the trigger.
A/N: Sorry for killing Grissom. This just popped into my head and it wouldn't leave, so I had to write it. Let me know if you liked it or hated it.
