"We trust you. We have told you the secret. We must keep Harry safe."

Remus Lupin and Sirius Black nodded once, then continued to stare at James and Lily Potter. James looked like he had aged 50 years since he had first heard about the prophecy, but Lily was just as lovely as ever, holding sleeping, little Harry. Remus and Sirius hugged their friends, and promised to take the secret of the location of the Potters' house to the grave with them. Sirius kissed Harry on the top of his head and departed with Remus.

Peter Pettigrew, who had been staring at his feet this whole time, looked up suddenly, and noticed that Remus and Sirius were gone. He muttered his goodbye and shuffled away.

James looked worriedly at his wife and child.

"Don't worry. We're safe. Our friends would never betray us," Lily assured.

"Of course," James replied, and, with a less worried expression, he turned to the house. The three of them went inside, feeling safe.
