A.N.: Heyo! This is just an idea, so tell me if you like it.

So, basically, my idea is about a guy in another dimension with the same powers as Star, and how he is sent to Echo Creek Academy, around the same time as Star does. They meet Marco, and go through some adventures together. First chapter is obviously going to be his introduction and stuff, and how his powers work, tbh, since I need to figure that out. His name is not going to be something like Quasar Caterpillar, because that's already taken. However you will see it just now.

CHAPTER 1

In a galaxy far, far away, lived a boy named Gisanrov Bulgyaboff. Yes, he was related to Buff Frog. Buff Frog, or Ivgeny as his family called him, was the great uncle of his father. Unlike his great-great uncle, they did not look like human frogs. They looked very much human. The only difference was that they did not have green ski, but only had two gill slits each on the sides of their neck.

But back to the story. Unlike their more… froggy relatives, the royal branch of the Bulgyaboff family are more sophisticated, and have priorities more important than raising tadpoles. They had a magical relic passed down generations. This relic was a gauntlet. This gauntlet was made of special material. It had hair of a bicorn woven into it. For those who don't know, a bicorn is like a unicorn, except that the horn splits into two at the base, where it spins around for a few inches, then finally separates. Bicorns are very rare, even rarer than unicorns, so the gauntlet is to be handled with care, like the wand of the Butterfly matriarchy. Even if it somehow gets damaged, there is a pure bred herd of bicorns, just in case. The Royal Bulgyaboff's are known to be paranoid and cautious, much like a frog.

Gisanrov is a young boy. He is a troublemaking child, much like a certain princess. His friends, both royal and civilian, call him Gis

The Bulgyaboff castle is a huge building, made in the image of the Avarius castle. It was built in the days when Bulgyaboff-Avarius ties were strong, and the castle had not been overridden by monstrous minions of Ludo Avarius. The architecture has now been changed, and it looks more like the Butterfly castle now.

Over the centuries, the Bulgyaboffs have had strong ties with all royal families of the dimensions. In fact, they are particularly friendly with the Spiderbites and the Merpeople, owing to a similarity in customs. As a result, King and Quenn Spiderbite and Mermanis (yes that is their kingdom's name) are often seen in the castle. Their children are also very friendly. They have grown up together, since they were often babysat by the royal guards. Due to this, they also love combat.

On the day Gis turned 14, the day he was supposed to get the Royal Gauntlet, he was out in the forest, chasing bog monsters and getting spoils of hunting. He had prayed to the goddess of hunting, Diana, to support him in his hunt.

Oh, did I mention that they worshipped the Earthly Roman gods?

Anyway, he had dedicated a wild boar tusk to both Diana and Mars, God of war, when he realized that he was getting late for the coronation.

"Oh, Olympus." he cursed. "I'm going to be late"

He considered running, but it would take him too long. He saw only one option.

"O Mercury, patron of travellers, He Who Runs The Fastest, lend me your speed. I swear on my slippery skin that I will try to be punctual to every formal occasion, so let it be heard by Jupiter, Keeper of Oaths, and by Lady Styx, Seer of Oaths."

He immediately felt the Oath settle down on him. He had never done this before, so feeling the heaviness of the Oath somewhat eclipsed the feeling of weightlessness that he got, as the temporary blessing of speed settled down on him. He took a deep breath, then took off at the speed of sound. He got to the castle in about twenty seconds, not a millisecond early, not a millisecond late.

He dusted off his clothes, sent a thank you prayer to the gods, and then set off to the throne room. He reached the throne room in about a minute, and as soon as he crossed the threshold of the hallway leading to it, his normal clothes morphed into formal attire, with his hair combed back, his protectionary dagger by his side. Such was the blessing of Trivia, goddess of magic: whoever set foot into the hallway, be they royal or civilian, a citizen of the kingdom or not, they immediately snapped to formal attire, unless specified by the king.

He walked into the throne room, where the King and Queen of Boglovia, his parents, greeted them. In the crowd that had parted for him, he saw King and Queen Spiderbite. They, along with their daughter Penelope, waved at him, as spiders scuttled about their clothes. Even the spiders looked spiffy, having a top hat each on their heads, and leaving bites in the shape of the Royal Crest of Spiderbite – a sword crossed with a spider leg .He didn't see the royal family of Mermanis.

As he reached the podium, his parents smiled at him. His father, Yvos, said, "You're early."

"All thanks to lord Mercury, He Who Runs The Fastest."

All three of them bowed their head in respect to the Olympian. His mother, Eva, said, "It is time, my dears."

Yvos raised his voice. "We offer prayer to the Gods, Olympian or otherwise, on this auspicious date of my son, Gisanrov Kamilo Bulgyaboff, turning four-and-ten years of age. All hail Olympus!"

A resounding cry of 'All hail Olympus!' echoed across the silent room, as all the occupants of the room cried out this show of devotion. Civilians and royalty alike, regardless of ancestry, hailed the ancient trope of gods who had kept this kingdom safe.

"On this auspicious day of my son turning four-and-ten, I offer to him the Ancient and Most Powerful Gauntlet of Magic, enchanted by Trivia and Minerva herselves, to protect the citizens of this noble kingdom, when needed, and the citizens of the multi-dimension, if called upon. May the Fates smile upon you, Gisanrov Kamilo Bulgyaboff, newest wielder of the gauntlet, prince of Boglovia, future king of Boglovia. AVE!"

'AVE' echoed through the throne room.

Yvos stepped forward. He detached a gauntlet from his arm. It was gold plated, with inscriptions across the knuckles, and displays of heroes accomplishing great feats etched on the solid gold palms and wrist, such as Hercules slaying the Lernaean Hydra, Jason journeying for the Golden Fleece, Julius Caesar crossing the Rubicon, and Ulyssess going to the underworld to rescue his wife.

"May this gauntlet serve you, my son, as it has served me." Yvos smiled upon his son, his eyes filled with pride .'May you serve your subjects as I have."

"I will, father."

"Then take the name of Olympus, and don the Gauntlet."

Taking a deep breath, Gis donned the gauntlet.

Immediately, the inscription across the knuckles began to change. They now read "INVICTUS DEMONSTRI CALOSE" in the modified form of Latin used on Boglovia. It meant 'MAY YOU PROSPER, NEW KING.'

The gauntlet was no longer made of gold. It was now made of platinum, with the same designs as before, but with a hole for something to set in, in the middle. The hole part seemed to be important, for a gasp rolled across the room.

"This has happened before!" Yvos exclaimed "With my great grandfather Yva, it has happened before! My son is destined for great things, like Yva was!"

"Now, bring forth the voloi!"

Gis was shocked. The fact that this had happened before was of great significance, and as his father had told him the story before, he knew that the voloi were the Stones of the Gods, granted to this kingdom if its future king was destined for greatness.

Delarius, descendant of the Royal scribe of Olympus, an immortal faun (half man, half goat)brought forward a box. Inside the box, separated by partitions, set in delicate padding, were the six voloi, each representing the first six Olympians, that is, Jupiter(Lord of the skies, god of lightning, law and justice, King of Olympus), Neptune(lord of the Seas, father of horses, master of the tides), Pluto(Lord of the underworld, god of the dead and of riches), Juno(goddess of marriage, childbirth, Queen of Olympus), Vesta(goddess of the home, hearth and chastity) and Ceres (goddess of the harvest).

"Choose one of the voloi, my lord, ad choose wisely, for the stone you choose represents the path you will take."

Gis considered for a moment. Then he seemed to have made the decision. "I choose.. the volos of Pluto, lord of the underworld, god of the dead, and riches."

His declaration led to some murmurs among the crowd. This was rare, but not uncommon. Kind of a paradox, right? The last king to choose the volos of Pluto was none other than Yvos's great grandfather, but he had not been alone.

"Very well, my lord. I shall give you your volos, but I must tell you of its properties.

"The volos of Pluto grants you the power of umbrakinesis, or control over the shadows. You will be able to travel through shadows, and would be able to hide in them at will. Yu will also gain the ability to commune with the dead, who shall guide you if needed, and will help you, when ordered to. You will gain the ability to detect deception. Lastly, you shall be able to summon infinite riches, but only to a limit. Do you accept the volos of Pluto, and swear that you shall work in the best interests of both Olympus and Boglovia, to never stray from the path your ancestors have set, and to serve your subjects?"

"I do"

"Then so be it. The volos of Pluto is now yours, my lord. Set it into the gauntlet, and let your oath be overseen by Jupiter, Keeper of Oaths, and Lady Styx, Seer of Oaths."

With trembling hands, Gis picked up the black volos of Pluto, and pushed it into its place on the gauntlet. It glowed black for a second, before turning back, an ethereal glow setting on it.

"All hail Gisanrov, prince of Boglovia, future king of Boglovia, wielder of the volos of Pluto. Ave!"

'Ave' echoed through the room once again. With that, the silent room burst into the excited mutterings and conversations of a party. Royalty and civilians alike mingled everywhere.

PRESENT TIME

As the throne room turned to celebrate the start of a new age, Gis hugged his parents, made small talk, then left to find the Spiderbites. He found them soon enough, talking to a civilian who specialized in spider repellent products.

"So, you see, My Lord and Lady, spiders hate a particular type of scent, that of the rose. They despise it. I would advise you to wear rose scented cologne, to ward off the pesky arachnids."

"Why thank you, Ivos. And- ohoho! If it isn't young Gis himself! How are you, my boy?"

"I am doing splendid myself, Lord and Lady Spiderbite. Hey, Pennie!"

"Hi Gis! Cool hand!"

"Thanks! You all look wonderful today! Also, did you try that mixture of thyme I recommended for spider bites?"

"We did, but it didn't work! We even tried it with rosemary oil, but the bite marks don't seem to go away!"

"Such a shame. Anyway, do you know why the Mermanis Royal Family didn't make an appearance?"

"Oh, they're meeting with the Butterfly's today, with the Ponyheads. Something about increasing imports of compact mirrors. "

After exchanging more pleasantries, Gis moved back to his parents.

"My son." his father greeted him, the pride returning to his eyes.

"Hi, Dad. Hi, Mom. You two look wonderful today, may I say."

Despite herself, Gis's mom narrowed her eyes. "Honey, what happened?"

He sighed. "Well, remember when I said that I got here with the blessing of Mercury? I meant that literally."

His father frowned. "Well, your first oath on the gods came later than expected. We thought you had made it much earlier."

"Anyway, the full story is that I was hunting bog monsters, and had just dedicated a boar tusk to Diana and Mars, when I remembered that I was going to be late. Then I realized that I wouldn't reach here by foot, so I had to get Mercury's blessings. The one downside is that I promised that I would be punctual to all future occasions. Otherwise, I came here about the same time the last nobles arrived."

"One ray of sunshine is that there will be no formal occasions in the near future, other than your coronation and your marriage. After that, one may be the birth of your first child, then he second, then the third…"

"Okay, Dad, I get it." Gis blushed.

"Well, it is our right to embarrass you publicly, is it not?" his mother teased.

"Son, I have to warn you, though." Yvos's expression turned concerned. "The weight of leading your nation to greatness may be too much, and coupled with the fact that you chose Pluto's volos, of all of them- I mean, no offence, but Pluto isn't exactly the most accepted god, is there?"

"Father!" Gis said. "How can you just blatantly disrespect a God? Do you not know that, even if he is not accepted, he is still respected, and that he is one of the eldest children of Saturn?"

"Well," a voice said dryly, "if I am so unaccepted, then I fail to understand why I came at all."

Gasps. Everyone turned to the civilian known as Ivos, whose posture had suddenly become rigid. Then a black glow seemed to radiate out of him. After the glow receded, another man stood in front of them. He wore black robes, in the form of the formal attire of Ancient Rome: a toga with a single white stripe. It was done around him just like if he was wearing a towel over his body. The fabric looked incredibly expensive, as if it was woven from silk and sold just like it had been received- raw, unfurnished. The fabric seemed to shimmer, faces appearing and disappearing into the cloth, like trapped souls. He wore many rings on his fingers, but one stood out particularly- a chunk of opal the size of a tomato, signifying his marriage to Proserpina, goddess of spring, daughter of Ceres and Jupiter. His head was adorned with a crown more grand than that of Yvos, and had many gems studded in it.

"L-lord Pluto." Gis stammered. "It is truly an honor."

Pluto abandoned his dry glare at Yvos and turned to smile warmly at Gis. "Well, Gisanrov, it was my pleasure. I also extend my gratitude to you, for being the only one in this darn place to respect me and stand up for me. For that, the underworld shall welcome you, in occasion of your death."

He then turned back to Yvos, and his smile faded. "As for your father… I am not so sure." His face was neutral, but his eyes held untold fury at the foolish king. The temperature of the room dropped. All expensive things, anything with any precious metal, seemed attracted to him. His hands had a sheen, as if prepared to cast a curse upon Yvos, or worse, to reach out and grab his sul, and to drag it to the underworld, to be tortured for the rst of eternity in the Fields of Punishment, along with Sisyphus, Actaeon and Tantalus.

"Please, Lord Pluto. He didn't know that you were here. He…he…"

Pluto glanced at him again. "Such astounding loyalty… Most wouldn't dare stand up to God, but you, young Gis, you're exceptional."

He sighed. "Very well, then. I shall spare your life, Yvossos." Yvos flinched at the use of his real name, as Pluto dissolved into shadows, leaving an emerald. On it was a note from Pluto, apparently his gift to 'Gis the Loyal'.

The party was dismissed. The evening had certainly been eventful. As the people departed, their muttering never ceased. As they stepped over the threshold of the hallway leading to the room, their clothes changed to casual attire, and they went home. Only the Spiderbite family and the Bulgyaboff family stayed behind. Even the Spiderbites left after a short discussion. Queen eva excused herself, muttering something about 'a long day', and 'stupid kings'. Finally only Yvos and Gis were left. Both looked uncomfortable.

"Son, I am so sorry. And thank you for vouching for me."

"It was my duty, Dad."

Yvos shifted. "There is something else I need to talk to you about. It is about your soon to start leave.

"As you may know, within a day of your ceremony, you are required to travel to a dimension of your choice, to stay for as long as you please, but are still required to spend atleast a year in said dimension, according to their time scale. It is supposed to help our kingdom strengthen our ties with any kingdoms out there. Your options are all 378 of the known dimensions. In my time, I went to Kingdom Spiderbite, on the outskirts of which I met your mother." He smiled faintly at the memories.

"So, which will it be?"

Gis really thought for this one. Although it would be good to visit the kingdom from which his mother came, he introspected, and realized that, out of all the dimensions that Boglovia had ties with, the Neverzone and the Earth dimensions were exceptions. He knew that the Neverzone was only a training zone for those who wished for a fight. It was also the home of wild dragoncycles, which the Bulgyaboff's disliked. The hot flaming breath of dragoncycles was harmful for amphibious beings like the Bulgyaboff's. That only left one option.

"Father," he said "I choose the Earth dimension."

A.N.: And that's the first chapter! This is the most ive written in a single sitting, so I feel very satisfied with what I have written. And those of you who think that this is going to be a crossover with PJatO, no, because the idea of a second dimension worshipping the Roman gods sounded pretty great for me. Also, understand that I am juggling two other stories along with this one, so updates for any of them may be sporadic, sometimes not at all. I appreciate any ideas for any subsequent chapters you may send. Please do so! Cya!
