Prologue: This Close /Third Person/
She had no idea what to think. Emerald Black had only ever seen her happy before. But now, they aren't. They fight and aren't the same when they're in the same room together. Today the six year old girl was witnessing a rather violent fight between her parents. They haven't been together ever since her mother went back to her husband, Emmett and her father went back to his imprintéé, Renesmee. But that didn't mean that they didn't come together to try and raise Emerald up in a pleasant environment. But that changed today.
"I wish you'd just hand over rights to her for the dear Lord's sake! You're the worst father ever! I'd rather her have a llama for a father then you, Mutt!" Rosalie snapped. Emerald's bottom lip trembled; she knew what was coming next. Jacob grabbed Rosalie's throat violently, holding her steady as he punched her hard and her face cracked ever so slightly but quickly returned to being extremely beautiful. Rosalie gasped, her eyes wide with surprisement. It all happened so quickly, as in one fluid motion. Emerald wanted to escape. She wanted to hide in the darkness; she wanted to escape the world.
Jacob spit in Rosalie's face and stormed out of the house.
