AU Warning: Han Solo lives; Snoke sends Kylo to Korriban after the destruction of the Starkiller Base.
Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.
AN: Multi-chaptered stories have never been my forte (as I seem to be unable to finish them), but I've decided to try again - don't hate me...
Beta: wonderful StarWarrior72 (thank you so much!)
The artefact glowed brightly in Kylo's hands, almost blinding him, despite the protective lenses of his mask. Sweat trailed down his temples freely and his heart was pounding unbearably quickly. He was becoming more tired with each word he uttered, but his stubbornness didn't allow him to break the ritual. He was so close...
After he had failed to kill his father and obtain the map, the Supreme Leader sent him away to the planet Korriban, the dwelling of the ancient Sith; to strengthen his connection to the Dark Side by reading the old scripts of the powerful Sith Masters. Getting to the hidden library hadn't been easy, but it was quickly shaping up to be well worth the effort.
His gloves began to smoke slightly, but he couldn't give up now, he was nearly finished. The Force buzzed around him, causing the old walls of the library to crack ominously.
The thick fog that had been guarding the Chosen One for years started suddenly to become thinner. His hazy mind woke up, recalling a lifetime of memories, feelings and dreams that had hung over his head while he'd been alive. The comfortable silence was completely destroyed by a fervently hopeful and pained shout that he couldn't understand at first. However, with every minute the words got clearer, and the pull on his soul stronger.
He answered the call.
Finally, a dark shadow emerged from the electrified air. Kylo smiled even as he felt his body scream in pain.
He has found a way to resurrect his grandfather.

As soon as Vader came back to life, the world tried to burden him with everything it had – the ceiling seemed particularly interested in embracing him in a bone crushing hug. Cracks on the walls and the slight vibration under his boots didn't exactly fill him with optimism. The room wouldn't hold long. Still, he needed to see who has called him before he could escape.
Soon enough, he discovered a limp figure crumpled behind an ornately decorated table. Just as he was about to kneel by him, a large piece of the ceiling crashed to the floor, and the walls made an ominous crunching sound as the cracks continued to spread. Ancient tomes plummeted from the shelves lining the room, and he realized he didn't have long.
Without much thought, he picked up the youngster and fled the collapsing building.
