He was so young and his eyes held so much knowledge. He looked at me and his face lit up. The young boys hands fidgeted as he analyzed me.

People were passing by us. No one ever seems to notice me. Im just a thing their busy eyes routinely scan past. Never caring enough. But this particular day someone did.

I have always been filled with such wanderlust. Always feeling stuck. I always wanted to dance among the stars. No one ever took me far enough. I had been looking for someone who was willing to go where no one ever had before. Someone to show me the universe. This little boy strolled up to me. Noticed me. So I picked him.

The boy reached out his hands and touched me. He was so intrigued. His clothes looked tattered and his shoulders slouched. The boy looked like he needed to run away. So, again, I picked him.

I unlocked the door. I knew I found him. The one who would steal me away. A willing kidnapping. My thief found me.

He looked hesitant at first. Nervous. I didnt belong to him after all. He pushed in my door and stepped inside. He was taking it all in for the first time. It takes people a minute to catch their breath when they see a TARDIS for the first time. The thiefs eyes welled up.

"you are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." he said to me.

I only wished he could have heard me too. For I loved him right from the start. I loved the mad boy from Galifrey. Our future held so much. I wanted to tell him that. 'Run away with me mad man. Take me to play among the stars.'

But I didn't have to say anything. He knew.

With that we were off.

I was no longer a old blue box on a street corner for everyone to pass by. I never had to be unwanted again. Someone loved me now. We were just what each other needed. I needed a pilot and he needed a ride.

"They call me the doctor," he paused, "...and I'm just borrowing you."
