"Stop right there!" Miz growled.
AJ stopped dead in his tracks as he stared at the gun Miz was holding. His eyes moved away from the man to the woman sitting on a chair behind him.
"Lucille?" He asked.
"I'm okay," she said lowly.
She raised the head and all AJ saw was the line of dried blood running from her mouth down her chin.
"You son of a bitch!" He growled.
"Careful now," Miz warned. "She's fine. I just roughed her up a bit."
"Let her go!" AJ demanded.
"I will," Miz smirked. "Once you give me what I want."
"I can't," AJ said.
"No, no, no, you were doing so well coming here and not playing a fucking hero, and now you wanna refuse taking the final step? That's not how we're gonna play," Miz said.
He grabbed a pair of pliers and moved to stand behind her. AJ swallowed hard as he realized what Miz was about to do.
"Don't you fucking dare!" He whispered.
Miz just smirked as he crouched down behind her. A second later she let out an ear piercing scream. The tears ran down AJ's face as he watched in horror at how she sat there on the chair, hands tied behind it, getting a finger cut off. Or at least he hoped it was only one. The answer was delivered seconds later as Miz held up a finger.
"One down, nine to go," he said.
"Stop!" AJ begged.
"You know what I want," Miz said.
"I'll do it," AJ said.
"Good boy," Miz said.
He moved over to a laptop, picked it up and walked over to hand it to AJ. AJ stared at the site for his bank that was already open.
"20 million dollars," Miz demanded as he handed AJ a piece of paper. "To that account."
"I don't have that much," AJ said.
"Now is not a good time to lie since we'll both be looking at the screen when you log on. And I know you just inherited that amount," Miz said.
AJ sighed, knowing the battle was lost. He logged on and the big number flashed in both men's eyes.
"Jackpot!" Miz said lowly and placed the gun into the back of AJ's head. "Now be a good boy and hand it over."
AJ worked as fast as he could, shedding another round of tears as he watched the money leave his account and disappear into the one Miz had demanded. He handed the laptop back and looked surprised as Miz handed him a pair of handcuffs.
"What the...?" He asked.
"Cuff yourself to that pole," Miz pointed.
AJ knew he couldn't get out of it so he moved to the pole and cuffed himself to it.
"Thank you for your cooperation," Miz said. "Darling?"
"Yeah, let's go," Lucille said.
AJ watched in horror, his jaw dropping low, as she stood up and showed that she had never been tied up in the first place. She lifted her hands and wiggled all ten fingers.
"It's been fun, AJ," she smirked.
"What the hell?" AJ asked.
"He still doesn't get it," Miz chuckled.
"He will. It'll dawn on him in a couple of seconds," she said.
"You bitch!" AJ spat.
"He gets it now," she laughed.
"You fucking played me?" He couldn't believe it.
"Of course I did. I made you fall in love with me, killed your loner of an uncle and then took the money you got from him," she grinned. "Have a nice life, AJ. Someone will come looking for you tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, sit down and wait."
She kicked the chair towards him that she had just been sitting on. Miz held out his hand and she took it, allowing him to pull her in for a kiss.
"Ready to go, darling?" He asked.
"Fuck, yes. I can't wait to get down under the hot sun and have a cold drink," she said.
"Tequila sunrise?" He asked.
"You know me better than anyone," she answered.
