Part One:

"There is an extremely powerful weapon hidden behind this door, so where is the security?" asked Legna asked his companion, Lougner.

They made a strange duo, Legna unnaturally tall, and Lougner as short as a six-year-old child. But they each very strong powers to make up for these disadvantages against shorter or taller opponents. "Koenma never was very smart," answered Lougner. "If Gouki, Yoko, an Hiei could break into here the security has to suck."

They walked up to the tall door and Legna was about to push it open when he heard a voice yell, "STOP! What do you think you're doing!?"

Lougner blasted the ogre with a burst of spirit energy before he could yell anything else. Legna proceeded to push open the door. Light billowed out at them as the door opened. They put their arms over their eyes to block the light.

When they became accustomed to the light, they looked around the room. It was gigantic. Huge pillars reached up to the ceiling on both sides. They had writing in a strange language on it. They both ignored the writing, knowing the true prize was on the other side of the room.

Lougner held up his hand, signaling Legna to stop. He took a coin from his pocket and tossed it on the floor. The part of the floor that the landed on collapsed. "Holy shit!" yelled Legna.

They started walked forward again and finally reached the table that the Book of Days was lying on. "When I pick up this book the charm protecting this room from teleportation will be removed," said Legna. "Get us out of here quick."

When Legna picked up the Book of Days Lougner grabbed his arm and they disappeared with a flash of light.

An ogre burst through the doors of Koenma's office. "Koenma, sir! The Book of Days has been stolen!"

Koenma's eyes widened and the pacifier dropped out of his mouth. "Impossible! That's impossible!"

"It's true, sir. Look," said the ogre and he pressed a button on Koenma's TV.

A replay of the theft played on the screen. "This is bad. This is very, very bad," whined Koenma, pressing his face into his hands. "Have Botan get Yusuke. Have her get Kurama and Hiei, too."

Well, that was short wasn't it? Beginnings are always short in my stories. Then again, so are all the chapters. I'll try and make these chapters longer though. I'm afraid of not finishing fast enough, and then FF.Net'll boot me off. It's happened before.
