Lila looked out the window of her car and snarled. Next to the ice rink (that grew in popularity after a sighting of Adrien was posted on the internet,) was her. The bain of 'Lila's existence. Marinette Dupain-Cheng. The girl was giggling with her friends, her face turning a disgusting red that almost matched the suit of the fiendish Ladybug when looking at her Adrien.
All her school life was filled with countless nights loathing over the very existence of her fellow classmate and a pesky bug themed hero. Each day, a new reason to hate both of them, a new way to destroy their lives.
Granted ruining the life of a superhero was difficult; the worst Lila could do was hurt the heroine as an akuma or inconvenience her during battle. But Marinette? She was an easy target. Her classmates were naive and dumb and seeing the emotional turmoil 'she'd put the bluenette in was far too entertaining to watch.
That never stopped people from loving them.
She hated how loved they were.
The strength, righteousness, determination, maturity, and grace that Ladybug displayed made her insides twist with envy. The way she could do anything perfectly and even when in the wrong people would look the other way.
The kindness, beauty, morality, creativity, ability to see past the surface of other and sheer ingenuity of Marinette haunted her as they proved that she was much more than Lila in every way. Marinette had substance, Lila did not.
Then it all came crashing down. An empire built for her and her alone, demolished, the ashes of the throne she worked so hard to create destroyed by the very people she hated.
Both people were held in such high regard without even trying. They were themselves, and they were accepted.
Ladybug was the kickass queen of Paris, she was sassy and was just downright cool.
Marinette was the endearingly clumsy princess of the school. Every student only speaking praise about her. (With the exception of Chole and her yes girl Sabrina.)
Yes, she despised them. She wished for their endless suffering with every fibre of her being. People like them 'shouldn't even exist. 'They're the sole reason that people like her needed to lie to be remembered.
It didn't matter that her parents loved her. She wanted attention, and she craved it. But, people just couldn't give a damn about her. So when she saw other effortlessly receiving it, she was disgusted.
She saw the light turn green, and she drove away.
Lila was back, and she was stay. Two years at the detention centre only nurtured her disgust — probation giving her time to concoct new plans and schemes. Her life was rebuilt from square one, and this time her empire wouldn't shatter.
She was only twenty, and that meant there was plenty of time to kill Ladybug and Marinette slowly.
They said hatred was a poison. Little did they know that Lila was the embodiment of it.
This was a one-shot about how I'm pretty sure Lila sees the world. Lila's the type of person to say that the sky's green and despises the person who points out that it isn't
This is my first story ever and I'd like some feedback.
