Catra knew trouble has come for her the moment the infected She-Ra has her eyes focused on her. Too bad Scorpia and Entrapta aren't able to help her out in this situation. It's because the former got knocked out while trying to save her, while the latter stayed inside with her robots.
This is not good, indeed.
As much as she hated doing this, she could only think of one way to bring her Adora back to her senses.
"Over here! Come and get me!" she taunted the infected princess of power and warrior of legend to provoke her more into coming at her. Waiting to come at her, she could only hope that this idea might work. If it doesn't, then she doesn't know what to do. Now that she's closer to her, it's time to try out her plan. The first step is to jump towards her, and the second step is to wrap her arms around her for a hug.
Step three is something that she could only hope would work.
"Adora..." she began. "I love you."
After saying those words in order to show a sign that her Adora is trying to regain control of herself from the inside, Catra pushes her lips towards her infected empowered form to seal the deal. In a matter of seconds, She-Ra has been cured.
"Hey Adora," she said her catchphrase in its usual teasing and flirting tone.
"Catra..." She-Ra said with a smile. "You did it. You cured me by kissing me."
"I guess I did, didn't I?" Catra blushed underneath her fur before She-Ra hugs her tightly. "Adora, go easy with the hug when you're She-Ra! It's crushing me!"
"I know. I'm sorry I left you."
"And I'm sorry for trying to be your worst enemy."
The two girls shared a hug with one another, and it's the best one there is. They hold on to each other for what they feel it's a lifetime, but they enjoy it. After they let go of the hug and stared into each other's eyes lovingly, they looked at their surroundings.
"So now what?" Catra asked.
"How about we rode off somewhere neither the Horde nor the Rebellion would find us?" She-Ra responded while she transformed back into Adora. "We should have our deserved happy ending after we've been through."
"Yeah, I guess you're right."
Adora extends her hand to Catra, who happily accepts it, and they walked off the battlefield, having regained their friendship. They regained something more than just their friendship; they have become more than just friends.
Author's Note: What do you think? At least I did my best. Anyway, check out my John Wick and She-Ra reboot crossover story called Wick Island.
