Night sat on the peak of the mountain as she watched a group of dragons fly away to the west

One of the dragons in the group was her dad, Moonstone, who joined the group of several dragons so he could find better territory, better hunting grounds, better everything. Although there were three other huge dragons in the group, she knew exactly which one was Moonstone. He was near the back, followed by two other dragons, rather small compared to Moonstone, who was one of the strongest dragons she knew. Night was sure they'd never survive a week out there. Night wondered why her father was in the back with the two dragons which looked like the weakest in the group.

Are they saying that my father is one of the weakest? Night thought. No that couldn't be true. He's one the most strongest male dragons here. In fact, he's one of the most strongest dragons here, possibly the strongest besides our leader, Darkmist.

As Night continued to think about her father, little did she know her best friend Sunrise was creeping up from behind her.

"Boo!" She said, very loudly.

"Hey, Sunrise," Night said without turning around.

"Did I scare you this time?" She asked, her eyes hopeful and bright.

"No, Sunrise..."

Sunrise groaned as she sat beside Night. "Come on! Brighten up! Don't be so miserable and sad!" But no, Night didn't brighten up, or smile, she just looked down and her claws and frowned.

"Night, what's wrong?" She said.

Night didn't answer right away, but after a few minutes of silence Night finally said: "It's my father, Moonstone, I'm worried about him."

"Night I know it's hard for you watching him leave but he'll come back someday."

"No, it's not that, it's what would happen too him." Night said as she finally looked up and met Sunrise's eyes.

"I'm scared, Sunrise."

"I'm scared too, Night, but let's not worry about it now because I think it's messing with your brain." She said then smiled.

There was something about her smile, when you're in a dark room, her smile brightens everything up. her smile made Night smile, it takes away the stress and worry she goes through everyday. But not even Sunrise's smile could make the worry disappear.

Sunrise twined her tail around Night's.

"I have to go, but remember, don't worry, be happy." She walked and left Night there, all alone.

But I can't stop worrying. Night thought. And that worry won't stop until I make sure that my father is alright.
