Summary: Colin remembers when he first met Fox, and when he fell in love.
-------- ----------- ------------------------------------------------------- ---------- -------- ----------
Colin remembers the day he met Kailen Maharassa. Fox. He remembers Fatima being the big sister Fox both hated and loved, looked up to and shunned. He remembered how at five years old, he dared and teased and convinced Fox to lick the chain link fence between the Maharassa's home and Nefertari's new neighbor friend's house. He remembers that it took exactly seven hours, four fire fighters, and one quick hug to assure Nefertari that her son would be alright and unstuck that cold December day.
Colin remembers Fox's first baseball game. He had gone with Padma and Rafi to watch him, as Fatima and Nefertari had stayed at home to make supper. He remembers watching Fox bounce around the field during warm up, and how happy he seemed. He remembers Fox's first strike out that day, and how he had looked so sad that he had let the team down by missing the ball. He also remembers Fox's first home run that night, too. He'd been the happiest nine year old at the game, bouncing around and hugging everyone near him. Colin remembers being happy, too.
Colin remembers their first sleep over; from the mass amount of sugar and the pillow fight to the sleepy conversation and then the cheerful awakening by Rafi in the morning. He remembers how Fox had let him chose the movie, and the way that he felt safe in the Maharassa home. He remembers waking up in Fox's king size bed with Fox curled up beside him, muttering in his sleep about potatoes and sticks, and remembers it feeling oddly right. He remembers eight year olds promises, about staying together and never leaving the other behind.
Colin remembers the first day of high school. Fox, himself, and Fox's girlfriend had entered the school with wide eyes and big hopes, only to be pushed aside as freshmen. He remembers when Fox had asked the girl out, and he remembers the exact moment she broke his heart. He remembers late nights and pizza, soda's and movies; he remembers Fatima's call from Rome, too. He remembers the day they graduated, not even two years now, Fox bouncing around like a mad man at prom while the got their dates punch.
Colin remembers starting college. His parents had disapproved of his choice in both college and room mate, and had expressed both to him, but he hadn't cared; not one bit. They'd gotten their dorm room and happily lived out their dreams of late night take out and monster movie marathons. He remembers the day he'd taken up that offer to live in the rich Russian' s apartment with Fox for a little while, and he'd enjoyed it very much.
Colin remembers the day he fell in love. It was just another dam nothing important or bright or special. But it had happened, oddly enough. And Colin was glad, because it was the best feeling he'd ever felt in his entire life.
It had started with Fox, and Colin suspected it would end with him too.

A/N: I know BmB sorta died off last year (or the year before...::sweat drop:: ) But I couldn't help it. I was on Whee! I'm Naked and it made me happy.
