Hey, I know it's not the next chapter of The One Class He Found Hard. It's almost done by the way, but this showed up in my head on Wednesday and I thought I'd post it and see what you guys think about it.
Derek Morgan loved his family, both of them. He loved both of his families.
He loved his first one before he was even old enough to understand what love was.
He loved his mother for always being there, even if it was through a phone. He loved them because she knew.
He loved his sisters because they made him laugh and feel home. He loved them because they knew.
He loved his father, even if he was gone because his father was the kind of person he wanted to be. And somewhere, Derek knew his father would have known and he loved him for it.
Derek loved his second family from the moment he got it.
He had loved Elle Greenway and Jason Gideon because they had been family.
He loved Penelope Garcia for always being herself. He loved her because she put a smile on his face no matter how hard the case was. He loved her because she was the optimist one, his best girl friend; because he could always fall back on her and she would be waiting. He loved her because she was the first he told about it, but the second to know.
He loved Jennifer JJ Jareau because she was like his mom; because she took care of all of them when they were hurt or just sad. He loved her because she was reliable, smart and sweet; she could outwitted anybody and would do it at all costs if she thought her family was in danger. He loved her because she knew first; she had smiled, hugged him and told her she was happy for him.
He loved Aaron Hotchner because every family needs a father even when the kids think they don't. He loved Hotch because of his dedication he would risk anything for them; he'd close his eyes and protect them. Derek knew he couldn't be as good as Hotch for this and he loved him for doing it for all of them. He loved him for telling him to keep it preciously when he had learned about it.
He loved David Rossi because you always love that crazy, weird uncle that makes things better; and that was David did: he'd tempered the dad when the kids would do something foolish. He loved the way he had smile knowingly when he had finally known as if he had suspected it from the start.
He loved Emily Prentiss because she was so alike his sisters, but still so different. He loves her strength, her fight, the way she never let anything or anybody get in the way of what she wants. He also loved her because underneath all of that, there was still that scared and sad little girl who had learned to hide what she felt. He loved the way she's opening up to her family. He loved the way she treathened to kill him if he blew it up once she had known.
He loved Spencer Reid because he was Spencer and nobody was better than Spencer; there wasn't anybody smarter, sweeter or nicer than the odd young genius. He loved Spencer because he was making him smile over little things like how much sugar he put in his coffee, how much he know and how much he was scared of Clooney at the start. Spencer made everything better just by being in the same room than Derek. He loved Spencer because that was the one thing he didn't know:
Because if Derek loved every member of his families, he was in love with Spencer Reid.
So, what did you think? Anyone wants a sequel? Please leave a review
Anne, with a lot of love
