Hey, guys! The one-and-only Fluff Machine here. This little fluff-filled (shocker, right?) drabble popped into my brain and demanded to be written while I was watching the "Mother's Day" episode. This will be my first official NCIS Fanfiction! YES! *Blows party thingy* Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little tidbit of Tivaness!
Perfect Fit
Tony glanced nervously at Ziva as they rode down the elevator together to go home. The day had been a good one, they resolved another murder and got the guy responsible put behind bars.
Tomorrow's our fifth anniversary. Five years since he actually asked me to go to lunch with him. I wonder if he remembers.
Tomorrow's our fifth anniversary. Five years since I got up enough courage to ask her. I just wish I could get up the courage now.
He finally tired of shifting from foot to foot, and hit the emergency brake with exasperation. Ziva turned to him, worry evident in her eyes.
"Tony, what's wrong?" His hand was shoved in his coat pocket. He ran his fingers over the blue velvet box.
"Ziva… I… I've been wanting to… Well, this isn't exactly the best time, but-"
"Tony, it's alright. What is it?" He took a deep, shaky breath.
"Whew. This is a lot harder than McMarried made it sound."
"Tony, what are you talking about?" Tony managed to pull out a wrapped-up fortune cookie.
"Here." He handed her the cookie, and, hesitantly, she took it. Breaking it open, she pulled out the little white slip. She read it and her eyes widened.
"Tony, I-" She was interrupted by his hand on hers.
"Ziva, I love you. I'm scared of saying it, but I do. I mean-" Ziva smiled.
"Yes." Tony looked up.
"What?"
"Yes, Tony. I will marry you." Tony's smile could've powered the entire state of Virginia. He pulled out the little blue box, and popped it open. He took it out, and slid it on Ziva's finger. Shocked but thrilled, Ziva whispered,
"Size five. Perfect fit! How did you-?" Tony smiled mischievously.
"A guy always knows his girlfriend's ring size. Just in case." Ziva laughed.
"What?"
"Now we have to tell the team."
"Yeah, but McGee got away with a smack to the back of the head."
"Yes, but Gibbs likes McGee."
"Ouch! That's cold, David!" Ziva kissed him lightly.
"You'll have to start calling me Ziva DiNozzo. I have to get used to it, after all."
"I don't think that'll be a problem."
"Love you, Tony."
"Love you, too."
So, that wasn't too terrible, now was it? Anyway, I've got to go balance the other five billion fanfictions I'm SUPPOSED to be writing right now. Anyway, please review, blah blah blah. See ya next time!
Thanks for staying at the Fluff Factory, and I'll see ya next time!
Much love,
The Fluff Machine
