Song: She's a fool – Lesley Gore.
It was just her and Harry sitting by the window in a nice little muggle cafe in town. It had been a lovely day in the middle of April, and after spending the morning touring round shops looking for a birthday present for his long term girlfriend of two years, Ginny, they decided to stop for lunch. Which is how it ended up with Harry sitting on one side of the table with a steaming cup of black coffee, and Hermione on the other with a hot chocolate loaded with whipped cream. After they ordered their meals, Hermione deliberately turned the conversation to quittage, a topic that Harry could talk about at length without any input from her, which is what she wanted, so that she could be left alone with her thoughts.
She don't know that she's a lucky girl,
Got the best thing in the whole wide world,
Got a love that's hard to find,
Got the boy I wish was mine,
But, she's a fool, she's a fool,
She has his love but treats him cruel.
Of course she had had her suspicions for a while that something was not right, but she had just put that down to jealousy, because no matter how happy she was that two of her best friends were happy together, she couldn't stop her own feelings towards Harry. But the previous night while Ginny and her had been watching movies and eating ice cream on the floor in her flat, she had started crying and confessed that she had been seeing Draco for the past six months.
He don't know it but she cheats on him,
With a boy like that it's such a sin,
I would never be untrue,
I would never make him blue,
But, she's a fool, she's a fool,
She has his love but treats him cruel.
Now Hermione was left with a dilemma, she knew a secret that was ripping apart one friend because she was keeping it to herself, but if she told Harry, it would probably rip him apart too. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Draco sitting on a bench, and then seconds later she saw Ginny join him. There was no mistaking the love clearly written on their faces. It wasn't the same love Ginny felt for Harry, she had confessed that she loved him like a brother, it had just taken her some time to realise that, and when she did she just didn't want to hurt him. But what she didn't seem to realise was that if she carried on this way she was going to loose Harry permently.
I know there is gonna come a day,
He will tell her girl be on your way,
Maybe then he'll turn to me,
Then how happy I will be,
That she's a fool, she's a fool,
She has his love but treats him cruel.
She decided then that she would just have to make Ginny see that she had to tell Harry, that, yes, he would be hurt for a while, but in the long run, it was better than all of them hurting and lying. And maybe after Harry had moved on emotionally, he would see the person who was generally in love with every part of him. Her.
There. Done. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to tell me what you think =]
