The Legacy of the Winchesters

Ch. 1 – Not a normal demon attack

Authors Note- This is an AU in which I have added another character. No it does not follow along with the complete series. This takes place right after the brothers have stopped the Apocalypse. I do not own Supernatural or it's characters. This is written just for fun.

At a small cafe in the pan handle of Florida, Sam and Dean Winchester sat at a booth waiting for their lunch after just finishing a case of a rather aggravated ghost. Dean's eyes lit up as the portly waitress set down a double bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings. "Oh the only thing I love more than family, is food!" Dean laminated. Sam just shook his head as he searched over his computer for their next job. They sat in silence for a few moments with the only sound between them being soft moans of Deans pleasure from his food. Sam peered up at his brother and handed him a napkin. "You have some grease and drool mixture on your chin." Dean just smiled and licked it up with his tongue.

"Any luck on the job hunt?" Dean asked between bites of fries.

Sam stopped on a southern newspaper and nodded. "Actually I think I just hit the jackpot." He quickly spun his laptop for his brother to see. In Hot Springs Arkansas, a family of three had been found murdered in their home. No signs of force entry had been found on the Green's home. However, when neighbors were interviewed, they said the mother had been acting quite strange for the week before. One of her best friends had even noticed her eyes turning black with rage just the day before the deaths had taken place. However, the exact cause of death was still unknown.

Dean nodded. "Sounds like a demon to me.

"Yeah," Sam nodded. "But what are they doing in Arkansas?"

Dean shrugged. "Taking a dip in the springs?"

Sam shrugged with a smile "Well, it's worth a look."

After 10 hours of driving, the brothers pulled up at the local police station in their FBI tuxes. When they walked in, they were greeted with the sight of a timid brunette secretary sitting behind a desk as the booming voice echoed off the walls from a back office. Sam and Dead walked up to the desk with refined confidence. Sam spoke up with a heart throbbing smile. "Hello Ms." he paused and looked down at her desk name plate. "Ms. Carr, can we speak with the Chief please?" He showed her his fake FBI ID and Dean followed his motions.

"Oh...of course" She nodded and stood up rushing back to the office where loud voices echoed. When she peeked in and spoke in a soft whisper, the angry shouting stopped. She then quickly shuffled backwards out of the way of a red faced portly man. His oversized shirt was straining to keep the buttons in place and he waddled quickly passed the brothers. The Chief then stepped outside of his office. "Have a good day Mr. Kenneth!" he shook his head before turning to the brothers.

"I apologize for that gentlemen. I'm Chief Johnson. What can I do for you?"

Dean nodded "I am detective Roland, this is my partner Merrick. We are here for the Green case." They showed their badges once more and the officer nodded.

"Well we are glad to have you. If I can be honest with you gentlemen, this case is truly baffling. Mr. and Mrs. Green were always a big part of our community. Their death has rocked us all." The chief frowned.

"Why exactly are you baffled sir?" Sam asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, there no signs of forced entry. In fact, there are no signs that there was anyone at the house besides the family at the time of death."

"Could it have been one of the family members themselves?" Dean asked.

"Oh lord no! I've never seen a closer and more loving family. The mother in particular. She bent over backwards for all of them. The father supported the entire family and was the loving husband and father figure. And the son was a well rounded student and athlete. Even the medical examiner is baffled. All he can say is that they all died of high amounts of pain. And Mrs. Green was the last of them all." Both Dean and Sam looked at each other in confusion. That wasn't the sound of a normal demon attack. They were dealing with something much more powerful than just the run of the mill demon causing trouble.

"Would it be okay if we went and took a look at the house?" Sam asked respectfully.

"Of course." The chief replied and went back into his office.
