Distracted blue eyes roamed back and forth, scanning the letters that formed the words which he was reading fervently. The library was quiet, except for the occasional whisper and numerous page turns of dedicated readers. Satoshi looked up slightly, moving only his sweetly blue eyes. Daisuke was sleeping in the couch-chair across from Satoshi's equally comfy chair. A book lay beside the small, red-haired boy; Daisuke had been reading the book before he had peacefully dozed off. Now the boy was in a deep, quiet sleep. The sleeping boy had been busy lately with school work and Dark, and it made Daisuke exhausted. Satoshi knew how it was, only the older boy had become used to being burdened with Krad much faster than Daisuke had adjusted. Not only that, but school work was a breeze to the unspoken genius.
Satoshi hid a small smile as he watched Daisuke sleep, and reluctantly went back to reading his book.
The sunlight was streaming in gently through the window behind Satoshi. Pink reflected in the dancing light, due to the sakura trees that were in full bloom in the background. Fragrant petals fell like graceful, pink snow behind the reader.
Satoshi adored how the light rested on Daisuke. It made the smaller boy look like an glowing angel. The blue-eyed one sighed lightly, enjoying that seemingly paused moment in time. Watching Daisuke made Satoshi realise that the red-haired one was shivering. It was rather cold in the library, but Satoshi had not noticed, as the cold didn't bother him much. He placed his book down on the coffee table between the two couch-chairs, and got up, grabbing his sweater. Satoshi then made his way towards the sleeping Daisuke, keeping quiet. The older boy took Daisuke's book from beside him, and placed it on the coffee table beside his own book. He placed the navy-colored sweater gingerly over Daisuke, carfeul not to wake the dreaming boy. The red-haired one simply sighed in his sleep, moving his head a little to the left to find comfort. Satoshi felt happy here, and, satisfied, returned to the rather large, cushiony chair. He picked up his book once more, and continued to read from where he had left off. The giant, stuffed chair he was in had lost its warmth by the time he had come back to it, and it made him realise that he himself had become a little chilly in the library, but he had been too absorbed in his reading before to notice. He lost awareness once again as the silence overtook him and drew him back into his story.
Satoshi jumped when he realised a figure was standing in front of him, and he looked up. Daisuke was a pleasant sight to see, standing there blinking sleepily. He had put the soft, warm sweater on. It was too big for Daisuke, and it made the already small boy appear even smaller. The crimson-eyed boy smiled at Satoshi, still half-asleep. Daisuke crawled onto the large, occupied chair to be beside Satoshi, with room to spare for the both of them. He put his head on Satoshi's shoulder, and began to breathe deeply and slowly. Daisuke had fallen back asleep immediately, curled up next to and resting his head on Satoshi.
The blue-eyed teen's face grew to a light, rosy blush as he smiled to himself. He rested his head on Daisuke's, and continued to read on in his book, the mute sakura petals floating down past the window behind him, the light from the sun and Daisuke warming him with blissful peace.
