Hey guys! So I'm really sorry for not posting lately. But hey! I'm back now! Anyway for those who have Facebook, please like Depression drowns us.
I woke up to the sound of Hestia's voice singing and a sweet smell of eggs & bacon cooking. I threw on a tank top and slipped on some sandals and walked towards the kitchen.
"Today's the big day Nicole!" Hestia said excitedly. I didn't want to leave Hestia. I'd miss her too much. She's become such a big part of my life after mother had died. To be honest I don't even know how my mother even looks. Hestia had said mother died giving birth to me and after that, I was an orphan. That is until Hestia adopted me. I learned she was a goddess once I was eight. I also learned that I was a child of Artemis. I know, weird right? That's when I found out my archery skills and other things. Hestia always made sure I knew how to defend myself and how to take care of myself.
"Do I have to go to Camp Half Blood? What if they don't accept me?" I wasn't going to lie. Hestia has protected me through thick and thin. She arranged for me to go to Camp Half Blood a couple of months ago but they were kinda busy dealing with Gaea. She decided to wait until they defeated her and then bring me to the camp. Its kind of cowardly once you think about it but hey, its for the best.
"Jacqui," Hestia loves calling me Jacqui just to appeal to my pride. Also, it's my nickname to her along with Nick or Nicky.
"Don't worry about them. I'll make sure you'll feel comfortable there. Remember to bring your pack, bows, arrows, knife, and your other weapons." She's not exactly the best role model. But hey she has good intentions.
"Can I bring my soccer gear and ball too!" I shouted excitedly. What? I like soccer okay! It's a sport I'm really good at other than archery.
"Yes. We probably won't be back here for a long time" She sighed. I walked straight up to her human form and hugged her.
"Thank you. Thank you so much for being here even though you didn't have to"
"I will always be here for you Nicky, no matter what. You're like a daughter to me. I will always protect you as long as I'm living" Hestia said, "Now let's get going! You have a camp to go to!"
We walked and walked to what seems like forever until we had gotten to the Airport. Hestia looked like she was at the verge of tears. She kissed the top of my head and hugged me. I felt tears fall from my eyes and hugged her back. She lifted her hand and wiped my tears. She kissed my forehead again and walked away. I stayed and looked at her disappearing right before my eyes. I took a deep breath from what seems like the very last time I'll ever be here in England. I hurried to catch my flight and went to see what the future brings me.
Kinda short. I knowwww. Its a starter okay!
