When he was just a little boy his mom told him to wash his hands before he came to the dinner table to eat. He whined like any normal six year old and asked her why and she told him it was because his hands were germy and gross and if he wanted to have any dinner at all he had better scuttle off to the bathroom and wash his hands thoroughly with soap right now, young man.

When he was a little older, his friends told him to wash his hands after he had touched something gross, like Selphie's doll when it had fallen into the storm drain or Wakka's ball when it had been thrown in the mud. He scrunched up his nose and asked why and they told him that it was because his hands were germy and gross and if he wanted to play with them any more he had better find somewhere to scrub his hands clean.

When he was a little older, his friend Riku told him to wash his hands before ever making any type of physical contact with a girl. He stopped tossing the soccer ball in the air and turned towards his friend and asked him why. Riku then said that it was because girls liked it when boys had some sort of a sweet, clean smell around them and if he wanted to hold hands with Kairi his hand should be sanitary.

When he finally turned sixteen his girlfriend Kairi told him to wash his hands before he left again. He turned and shifted the heavy piece of metal shaped like a key in his hand over his right shoulder and asked her why. She said that it was because his hands were covered in a certain red, sticky liquid and it was disgusting and unsanitary and even though he was just going to get coated again, it was the proper thing to do.

"Sora, wash your hands

before you come to the dinner table

before you play tag with us

before you walk her home

before you go out to save the world again."
