Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon.

She was a young child, Chibiusa. Naïve, smart, and annoying, but I loved her, that little princess of Crystal Tokyo. Small Lady indeed. She resembles her mother in the past so. A strong one, that child. She befriended Hotaru even though the girl was possessed. As I sigh and stand by the Gate of Time, I wonder about these spontaneous things. There are so many problems with the world, so many trying to assert their dominance against the worlds' wills… yet there are still those brave enough to stand up and fight. They befriend the needy and weak and help any way they can.

I see Hotaru now. She's pure now. Mistress 9 is gone, and she is free. Saturn, the quiet scout with deadly power… so much of a burden for one so young. We try not to awaken her, but she grows as the danger approaches. Michiru and Haruka feel the same. They want her to have a normal life, but the danger is too near. Such is the price of being a guardian.

Those times have passed, and we've all died more than once in sacrificing ourselves. We have the courage to do anything for the world. I stand by this gate and sigh again and again as the mist shrouds everything around me. The mercurial nature of people's thoughts make the worlds the way they are. Light and dark will always exist, but we will be there to battle on the side of light.
