The Return
She sat at the bar of Sunnydale's most popular club, the Bronze. She had been there for hours, gone through several margaritas, and was now quite drunk. When she arrived at 7:00, there hadn't been many people there. Now, at 10:30, the place was packed. Bodies were packed around her, pushing to get by and to the bar to order drinks. All around her she got little bits of other people's conversations:
"Can you believe he.?"
Probably some dumb blonde who can't keep a boyfriend longer than 24 hours.
"She's actually gonna do it, that chic is crazy."
She turned around to make a rude remark.when she saw him come inside. She thought she was dreaming. She watched him walk around, skimming the crowd for a familiar face. He walked to the other end of the bar and ordered a drink. Root beer, she knew, since it was his favorite. He paid and began to walk around, skimming the crowd some more.
When their eyes met. He took slow, easy steps toward her. One woman asked him to dance, that made her heart stop. He declinde, he was meeting someone, after all. He continued walking toward her. Suddenly, time seemed to slow down. Her heart began to race as he ran his fingers from her temple, across her cheek, over her lips, and down to the back of her neck.
"I know," he said, softly. Her lips began to tremble, small tremors going through her body. He planted a soft kiss on her pale and thin, but beautiful pink lips.
"Oz," Willow whispered, as the kiss broke.
The End
