Bella would survive.

Because that's what Edward had taught her to do. This time she wasn't going to run away from her problems. She wasn't Renee.

Sometimes, the sadness was unbearable. She had lost her other half. Sometimes, she'd come home from work, and call out, expecting him to be there. And when his name echoed back

to her, in the big empty house, it was too much for her. The worst was when she couldn't even cry. She'd want to, so badly, just to let it out - but her cheeks would stay dry. It'd been

almost half a year, but the pain hadn't dulled. When she was lonely, Bella would accidentally wander into his closet. She'd find herself pulling on one of his white, button up shirts, and

would just hold the collar to her nose, inhaling his scent. On some of the shirts, his scent had already started to fade. She was afraid of the day it would fade completely. Bella often lost

track of time now. She'd lay in the middle of their big bed, and hold his pillow to her face. And she'd just lay there. She may have been drifting in and out of sleep, but she couldn't tell. And

suddenly, it'd be dark outside. The phone would ring and it would be Alice. It was always Alice. She was usually trying to invite Bella to some outing, any outing, that would get her out of

that house. They both knew Bella would drag her feet. And then Alice would come over and crawl in bed with Bella. She'd call Rose, and Rose would join them, bringing ice cream. The girls

would then call Emmett and Jasper, who would come with dinner. And they'd all just squish together in that bed and eat and watch television. Sometimes, they'd all talk about Edward.

Sharing stories, laughing, and just being happy. Sometimes, they'd all end with tears in their eyes. They were learning to cope.

Tonight, Bella sat on her front step, waiting for Alice. For once, she had immediately agreed to go out. She had to get back to normal eventually. She had to have hope for the future. She

rested her hands on her stomach and sighed, as the baby gently kicked her. Bella grinned, rubbing her pregnant belly. She had hope, alright.
