You look handsome in a suit

Jim rubbed the towel over his hair as he exited the bathroom. He let out a small sigh when he saw Bones sitting on their bed, looking at him expectantly.

"Do we really have to go to this?" He muttered sourly.

"Jim, you're the one who's spent weeks negotiating with these aliens to sign our peace treaty. Now of all times you don't want to go to the festivities they've held for us?" Bones leaned back on his hand, and with the other pinched the bridge of his nose. "Sometimes I think you prefer things to go wrong on these treaty missions."

Jim dropped his towel. "Well, it does make things more interesting." He smirked.

He gets an exasperated sigh. "Don't even think about it, we do not have time."

Bones gets up from his seat and walks over to Jim's closet and starts to rustle around. "Do you even own a decent suit?"

Jim pulls on a pair of shorts and sits down to eye his CMO's ass, which was sticking nicely out of his closet. "Uhh..." He muttered intelligently, "I think there might be one up top."

"Stop staring at my ass and put this on." Jim got a face-full of tuxedo.

By the time he was finished buttoning his dress shirt, he realized that he was missing a tie. He turned to bones who was sitting on the side of his bed fixing his cufflinks to his starched and pressed black and white tux, bow tie and all. Jim stopped short to examine his lover, his breath short in his throat. Bones' hair had fallen in his face, and his features were scrunched in concentration trying to get the links on right.

Their gazes crossed and Jim flushed and looked away, hastily shrugging on his blazer. He could feel the heat creeping up the back of his neck and over his ears. He knew that Bones noticed, and his fears were confirmed when he felt hands come around his shoulders from behind.

No words were spoken, just a soft breath on his ear and a chaste kiss on his temple. Jim leaned back, and let Bones wrap the tie he was missing around his neck and knotted it gently. They stood there in silence for a moment, before the communicator beeped, letting them know it was time to leave.

Their hands brushed as they left the room, a small smile on both of their lips.
