Feelings for you

Michael and Gavin were sitting alone in the Achievement Hunter office, minding their own business and working hard. The others were out filming something that Gavin and Michael weren't really interested in. There was silence in the office as both remaining Hunters worked on their own videos. Michael was editing the most recent Rage Quit that he filmed, and Gavin was editing a GTA Let's Play that all 6 Hunters filmed not too long ago.

Michael suddenly paused the video, took his headphones off and placed them on the table. He held his hands together, turned to face Gavin at his right and sighed nervously.

"Um, Gavin?" Michael asked timidly.

"Yeah Michael?" Gavin didn't turn away from his computer screen but he shuffled his own headphones so he could listen to Michael and hear the video.

"Um, I'm not quite sure how to say this but…uh, I've had, er, feelings for you that are, um, different to, um…" Michael trailed away nervously, trying to find the right words. He was looking at his hands and twirling his thumbs; his cheeks had started to become red with embarrassment. Michael's voice shook slightly as he continued.

"They are, um, more than friendship if you see what I mean? But, I don't want you to take it the wrong way, Gavin, because…I want to stay at least as friends." Michael was rushing now, stumbling over his words, his eyes darting from Gavin, to the floor and to his hands.

When Michael first started talking, Gavin paused the video and took his headphones off so they hung around his neck. He turned to face Michael, a smile on his face. As Michael talked, Gavin's smile grew. When Michael finished talking, Gavin said nothing. He placed a finger under Michael's chin and lifted his head up so Michael was looking at Gavin. Then Gavin gently pulled Michael's hands and held them in his own. Michael blushed.

"You know Michael. I have had the same feelings for you too. And the problem was, I didn't seem to find either the time or the courage to tell you. Now that you have confessed to me now, you have made me probably the happiest person alive right now." Michael looked down again, a shy smile on his face, his cheeks still red. Gavin lifted Michael's head up again.

"I'm glad you said that, because I was really scared that you would take it the wrong way" Michael said, laughing weakly.

The two Hunters looked at each other, still holding each other's hands, saying nothing. Their heads began to lean slightly closer to each other. However, they were interrupted by the sound of footsteps and laughter coming from outside of the office. Michael and Gavin quickly moved away from each other and put their headphones back on. When the other three members of the office had entered, they saw Michael and Gavin at their own desks, with their headphones on and busy editing. It looked like nothing had happened.

But the one thing that they didn't see, was that Michael and Gavin were holding hands under the desk.
