Sharing Secrets During Quidditch

I knew he would say something. I just knew he couldn't keep his big mouth shut.

Slytherin went against Gryffindor today for a Quidditch match. I knew Draco would find Ron as soon as he could and tell him our secret. Why did I trust that Ferret again?

Oh, right. He's my boyfriend. I'm sitting in the stands, watching the screaming match unfold. I can't quite hear them from the seats, but I can see Ron hedging closer to Draco while my darling boyfriend laughs. He knows that I wanted to tell my friends tomorrow!

He's been looking for an excuse to anger Ron forever now. Draco calls it payback since he used to rub Lavender in my face after our break-up. Now he's being a royal jerk.

What do I expect from a Malfoy?

Oh, I can see Ron's face blending in with his shirt now. He can't be jealous, can he? Harry stops just above my head, curiously looking towards the commotion. A hit from Slytherin sails past Ron while he's distracted and scores points.

"Ron!" I hear Harry yelling, swooping away from where I sit. "What are you doing?"

I sink down in my seat, wondering how best to get back at my boyfriend later. He's going to pay for his horrible timing, and for going against me and telling my friends. The entire game is on pause, everyone watching the two Quidditch players flying around as Draco taunts Ron high above. I already know this won't end well.

I'll have to kill Draco later. This isn't cool.

Beside me, I hear Lavender and Ginny whispering. "What are they talking about?" Lavender asks.

"I hear Malfoy has a secret girlfriend. But why would Ron care?" Ginny mused. She arches an eyebrow, and glances my way. "Any ideas Hermione?"

I shrug. "None."

But Ginny's smirking as she turns back to watch the commotion, hands folded across her chest. I've seen that smug look from her before. Actually, she looks vry certain that it might just be me…

Glancing around, I realize people are staring. Arching an eyebrow I look to see what's going on, and pause when I realize Ron's staring too.

That little ferret. He said my name, didn't he?

And everyone heard. Now they're staring.

Well, I suppose people were going to find out somehow…
