Midnight confessions

My first Roxanne/Lysander! I haven't read any story with this pairing before, but I really like it and now this is officially my new OTP. I have plans to write longer oneshots with this pairing someday. But before that, I hope you enjoy this!

Note: This is for the Masterchef Challenge/Competition by TheTwoDL.

character: Roxanne Weasley ;

prompts: "It's hard to find a boyfriend at Hogwarts, when half the school are Weasleys!" ;

'Before she even knew it, it had happened.'

"What about truth or dare?"

Roxanne made a face. She hated that game. It was possibly the one game in which she was never good at. She hated revealing secrets when it came to truths and she usually got 'disqualified' for refusing to fulfill a dare.

But at that moment, she was just too drunk to think it though properly and he was just too attractive to make her want to refuse something he asked.

So she replied, "Sure."

He grinned mischievously which she thought made him look goofy but cute at the same time. "Brilliant. You go first."

"Why me?"

"Ladies first, remember?"

She rolled her eyes, and felt dizzy for just a second. Nevertheless, she consented to play the game.

"Okay, truth or dare?" he asked, sitting up straight.

She replied after a moment's consideration. "Truth."

He paused to think, and then said, "Okay, then. Tell me honestly, Weasley-"He came an inch closer to her, so that she could smell his muggle cologne. "Why don't you date?"

She blushed. She hadn't expected a question like that, but she answered immediately, "I do date!"

He raised his eyebrows.

"Okay, I don't," she said with an inaudible sigh, and added sarcastically, "It's hard to find a boyfriend at Hogwarts, when half the school are Weasleys, you know?"

"Oh, really?" said Lysander, with a twinkle in his eye. "Then what happened to the other half?"

She turned red again. But she composed herself instantly, and said, "One question at a time, Scamander."

"You haven't really answered my first question," he pointed out.

She groaned. She knew she couldn't avoid it.

"Look, I don't date because I think it's a waste of time. You always end up getting hurt anyways. Besides, I haven't found the right type of person yet."

He looked bemused, but didn't press her any further.

"Anyways, your turn. Truth or dare?"

"Dare," he said, without even a blink of an eye.

She paused, thinking of something to make him as much embarrassed as he had made her, but even then the alcohol was making her head fuzzy.

"Alright. I dare you to….kiss me."

He looked straight into her eyes. She thought he wasn't going to do it, but she should've known better.

Before she knew it, it had happened. He kissed her, and she kissed him back.

Later, she decided that maybe truth or dare wasn't such a bad game after all.
